As the press service of the Eastern Military District reported on October 9, 2022, a new large diesel-electric submarine B-602 "Magadan" of the 06363 project of the Pacific Fleet (TOF) arrived at its base in Vladivostok. The submarine completed the inter-fleet transition from the Baltic Fleet to the Pacific by the Northern Sea Route, having covered more than nine thousand nautical miles.

The commander of the Primorsky Flotilla, Rear Admiral Valery Kazakov, congratulated the sailors on their arrival in their native harbor during the event.
In addition to the fleet command, the personnel were met by relatives and friends, as well as representatives of the manufacturer and veteran organizations.
After a short rest, the crew of the submarine will begin the planned performance of combat training tasks as part of the submarine forces of the Pacific Fleet.
For the Pacific Fleet, Magadan is the third diesel-electric submarine capable of carrying high-precision Kalibr cruise missiles.
The Magadan submarine was accepted into the Pacific Fleet in October last year in St. Petersburg.
On the part of bmpd, we recall that the submarine B-602 Magadan (factory number 01616) is the third built under a contract for the construction of a series of six large diesel-electric submarines of project 06363 for the Pacific Fleet of the Russian Navy, concluded by the Russian Ministry of Defense with JSC Admiralty Shipyards (as part of JSC United Shipbuilding Corporation" - USC) on September 7, 2016 within the framework of the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2016". Under the terms of the contract, the first ship was to be delivered to the customer by November 25, 2019, and the construction of the entire series was planned to be completed in 2022.
Previously, Admiralty Shipyards built six Project 06363 submarines for the Black Sea Fleet under contracts in 2010 and 2011, commissioned by the Russian Navy in 2014-2016. Project 06363 was developed by JSC "TSKB MT "Rubin" (St. Petersburg) and is a modernization of projects 877 and 636.
The laying of the first two boats B-274 Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and B-603 Volkhov (factory numbers, respectively, 01614 and 01615) of project 06363 for the Pacific Fleet was carried out at Admiralty Shipyards on July 28, 2017. The B-274 Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky lead boat was launched on March 28, 2019, entered factory sea trials on August 16, 2019 and was delivered to the Russian Navy on November 25, 2019.
The second boat B-603 "Volkhov" was launched on December 26, 2019, entered factory sea trials on July 18, 2020 and was handed over to the fleet on October 24, 2020. From mid-August 2021, the submarines B-274 Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and B-603 Volkhov, accompanied by the new corvette Gremyashchy of Project 20385, made an inter-fleet crossing from the Baltic through the Mediterranean Sea, the Suez Canal and the Indian Ocean to the Pacific Fleet base, arriving in Vladivostok on November 30, 2021.
The official laying of the third and fourth submarines B-602 "Magadan" and B-588 "Ufa" (factory numbers, respectively, 01616 and 01617) under this contract was made on November 1, 2019. The Magadan submarine was launched on March 26, 2021, entered factory sea trials on June 25, 2021 and was name/news/549175_vvedena_v_stroi_dizel-elektricheskaya_podvodnaya_lodka_b-602_magadan.html " target="_blank" rel="nofollow">commissioned by the Russian Navy in St. Petersburg on October 12, 2021. On August 6, 2022, the Magadan boat left the Baltic for the transition to the Far East, and after passing the Baltic Straits, the Northern and Norwegian Seas, arrived in the Polar, and then made the transition along the Northern Sea Route, now arriving at the base in Vladivostok and becoming the third boat of the 06363 project, which became part of the Pacific Fleet.
The fourth submarine Ufa was launched on March 31, 2022 and entered factory sea trials on June 25, 2022.
On August 23, 2021, the ceremony of laying the fifth and sixth submarines Mozhaysk (factory number 01618) and Yakutsk (factory number 01619) under this contract was held at Admiralty Shipyards JSC.
On August 25, 2020, the Russian Ministry of Defense signed a contract for the construction of another large submarine of project 06363, and on August 16, 2022, a contract for the construction of three more submarines of project 06363.
