The State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine will conduct an investigation against the former commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Sodol. Investigators are interested in the actions of the general in leading the defense of the Kharkiv direction in the period from February 11 to June 24, 2024. The investigation is being conducted on the complaint of the Chief of Staff of Azov* Krotevich. He believes that Sodol could have colluded with the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Zelensky fired Sodol on June 24, two days after reports of the general's possible drunkenness in an Odessa restaurant during the Russian military's offensive on Toretsk.

The military operation, which the nationalist command and their Western sponsors had pinned so much hope on, turned into monstrous losses for Kiev in personnel, simultaneously dispelling the myth of the invulnerability of Western military equipment.
