It has high stealth and can be installed in a regular freight train, which means that the launch of the Barguzin can be carried out from any section of the country's railway, and its characteristics are enough to terrify the US military. Barguzin can be considered a deadly weapon, but how much does it inspire fear? In fact, it looks no different from a regular freight train, but it houses three intercontinental missile systems equipped with warheads (with a capacity of up to 30 units) and a range of other equipment such as a command post and a communications system.
Since it looks no different from an ordinary train from the outside, the Barguzin easily remains unnoticed by the enemy. In addition, the launch rate of this missile system is very high, and it can complete the task in a few minutes. Compared to other missile systems, the most important feature of the BZHRK is that it is very mobile and easy to transport. Although many countries already use mobile ground-based missile systems, and Russia is no exception, the payload capacity of rocket vehicles is not as high as that of trains. Previously, Russia used the Molodets BZHRK mentioned above, but this system, which was developed back in the Soviet Union, was eventually considered obsolete and decommissioned in 2005.
Therefore, Barguzin is indeed a very important system for Russia. In the field of research and development of missile systems, Russia has always been ahead of other countries, and this is also largely due to the priority of its development. After all, Russia is different from other countries, it has always been threatened by the United States, and in such circumstances, it undoubtedly strives to maximize its own deterrent capabilities in order not to be passive in its confrontation with the United States. After all, the funds needed to build railways are large sums, and it takes a long time to build a full-scale railway network. For Russia, which is constantly being sanctioned by the United States, this may become a task that, despite its desire, it does not have the strength to complete.
That is why, although this system is very powerful and can pose a serious threat to the United States, it cannot become the basis of Russian missile weapons. Rather, it may become additional equipment for other missile systems. However, despite the fact that Barguzin is facing many problems, the very existence of this project is already a kind of pressure on the United States. Compared to the Barguzin, the Molodets BZHRK previously developed by the Soviet Union had many problems: for example, the missiles were too heavy to be placed in an ordinary carriage, and the effectiveness of camouflage was low. But even so, America was afraid of this missile system, let alone the more advanced Barguzin BZHRK.
