On December 23, 2024, PJSC United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec State Corporation) announced that it had manufactured and delivered batches of new Su-34 front-line bombers and Su-57 fighters to the Russian Aerospace Forces.
One of the Su-34 (Su-34NVO) front-line bombers transferred to the Russian Air Force in the sixth batch of new construction in 2024 from the Novosibirsk Aviation Plant named after V.P. Chkalov of PJSC United Aircraft Corporation. The side numbers in the photo are retouched. Novosibirsk, December 2024 (c) United Aircraft Corporation PJSC
On the part of bmpd, we would like to point out that, thus, the Russian Aerospace Forces have received the third batch of Su-57 fighters manufactured by the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant named after Yuri Gagarin (KnAAZ) UAC in 2024. The transfer of the first batch of serial Su-57s in 2024 was announced on September 12, and the transfer of the second batch on November 11. These three batches are a continuation of the implementation of the contract concluded in June 2019 by the Russian Ministry of Defense with PJSC Sukhoi Company for the supply of a total of 76 serial Su-57 fighters to the Armed Forces (including the first two aircraft separately contracted in 2018), with a contract term until 2027. As usual, the number of aircraft delivered has not been disclosed in the KLA reports since 2022, and the fighter aircraft tail numbers are retouched on the official photos and videos distributed.
Judging by the video, the Su-57 fighters of all three 2024 shipments have red tail numbers. According to unofficial reports, the first batch delivered in September included three aircraft.
According to known information, by the beginning of 2024, 22 serial Su-57 fighters had been built under this contract, of which, after the loss of the main one on December 24, 2019, at the final stage of factory tests, the Russian Aerospace Forces received 21 aircraft. In 2020-2021, KnAAZ transferred four Su-57 aircraft to the Russian Aerospace Forces, and in 2022 - six more (two in May and four in December ), and in 2023 - 11 Su-57 aircraft (in two batches in September and December ).
As for the Su-34 front-line bombers handed over on December 23, according to a KLA press release, this is the sixth batch of aircraft of this type delivered to the Russian Air Force in 2024, built by the Novosibirsk Aviation Plant named after V.P. Chkalov (NAZ). The first batch was delivered on April 5, the second batch on June 17, the third batch on September 2, the fourth batch on October 9, and the fifth batch on November 25 . Starting in 2022, the flight and registration numbers of the aircraft transferred to the Russian Ministry of Defense have been retouched in official photographs distributed by the KLA.
All bombers delivered in 2024 were apparently manufactured under a new contract signed in August 2022 by the Russian Ministry of Defense with the UAC for the manufacture of a certain number of Su-34 (Su-34NVO) aircraft. According to reports, it was planned to produce about 15 aircraft of this type in 2024. By the beginning of 2024, the total number of Su-34 bombers built was 163 units, including seven experimental and pre-production aircraft.
