After the beginning of partial mobilization in the Russian Federation, the Western media, having recovered a little after the initial knockdown, began to publish articles not only criticizing the political decision of President Vladimir Putin, but also with arguments that partial mobilization allegedly would not lead to the consequences desired by Moscow.

At the Army-2022 International Military-Technical Forum, Ural Automobile Plant JSC (as part of United Machine-Building Group LLC) presented a prototype of an unmanned truck on the Ural-432067-73 chassis with a 4x4 wheel formula. Although the machine was originally developed for the Russian Armed Forces, however, it is offered for both military and civilian applications (which was emphasized by the original "two-sided" paint scheme of the machine).

The first production cars may appear as early as this year. At the Army-2022 forum, which takes place in the Moscow region on August 15-21, Uralvagonzavod not only presented updated models of self-propelled artillery guns "Magnolia", "Phlox" and "Drok", but also announced the start of serial production of the first two systems.

NATO countries are seeking to replace classic armored personnel carriers with MRAP-type armored vehicles in their troops, which have increased mine protection. In many ways, this rearmament was a response to the military actions of the alliance's allies in the Middle East. In the countries of this region, NATO was faced mainly with guerrilla wars, in which the main tactics of the rebels were reduced to mining the enemy's equipment routes and blasting in places where alliance forces were concentrated.
