As reported, on June 25, 2021 at the factory sea trials in the Baltic sea was first published large diesel-electric submarine B-602 Magadan (serial number 01616) project 06363, built for the Russian Navy in St. Petersburg, JSC "Admiralty shipyards" (part of JSC "United shipbuilding Corporation" - USC). This is the third of six Project 06363 submarines being built for the Pacific Fleet.

Recall that the contract for the construction of a series of six large diesel-electric submarines of project 06363 for the Pacific Fleet of the Russian Navy between the Ministry of Defense of Russia and JSC Admiralty Shipyards was signed on September 7, 2016 within the framework of the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2016". According to the terms of the contract, the first ship should be handed over to the customer by November 25, 2019, the construction of the entire series is planned to be completed in 2022.
Previously, Admiralty Shipyards built six Project 06363 submarines for the Black Sea Fleet under contracts in 2010 and 2011, which were handed over to the Russian Navy in 2014-2016. Project 06363 was developed by JSC "TSKB MT "Rubin" (St. Petersburg) and is an upgrade of projects 877 and 636.
The laying of the first two boats B-274 "Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky" and B-603 "Volkhov" (factory numbers, respectively, 01614 and 01615) of the 06363 project for the Pacific Fleet was carried out at the Admiralty Shipyards on July 28, 2017. The lead boat B-274 "Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky" was launched on March 28, 2019, entered factory sea trials on August 16, 2019 and was handed over The Russian Navy in the contract period of November 25, 2019.
The second boat B-603 "Volkhov" was launched on December 26, 2019, entered factory sea trials on July 18, 2020 and was transferred to the fleet on October 24, 2020.
The official laying of the third and fourth submarines B-602 "Magadan "and B-588" Ufa " (factory numbers, respectively, 01616 and 01617) under this contract was made on November 1, 2019. The launch ceremony of the submarine B-602 "Magadan" took place at the Admiralty Shipyards on March 26, 2021.
It is known that the fifth and sixth submarines will be named "Mozhaysk" and "Izhevsk", in 2019, metal cutting for them was started.
On August 25, 2020, the Russian Ministry of Defense signed a contract for the construction of another large submarine of Project 06363.
