As reported on November 24, 2023 by PJSC United Aircraft Corporation, Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant named after Yu.A. Gagarin (KnAAZ) The United Aircraft Corporation (part of the Rostec State Corporation) has manufactured and handed over to the Russian Ministry of Defense the next batch of new multifunctional Su-35S fighters. The fighters underwent a cycle of ground and flight tests in various operating modes and flew from the KnAAZ airfield to their duty station.

"This batch of Su-35S aircraft completes deliveries of this type of aircraft under the current year's program. UAC enterprises provide the Russian Aerospace Forces with modern aviation complexes in strict accordance with the delivery schedule. Employees of KnAAZ, as well as other UAC plants that carry out state defense orders, work in three shifts. Our employees understand the necessity and importance of their work," said Yuri Slyusar, General Director of PJSC UAC. "Along with today's delivery of multifunctional Su-35S, the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant is preparing to transfer the next batch of fifth-generation Su-57 fighters by the end of the year."
From the bmpd side, we point out that, thus, the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Gagarin Aviation Plant (KnAAZ) handed over the fifth batch of Su-35S fighters this year to the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
Earlier this year, the Russian Aerospace Forces have already received four batches of Su-35S fighters of the new KnAAZ construction - the first on June 23, the second on July 13, the third on September 28 and the fourth on October 24. The number of Su-35S fighters transferred to the Ministry of Defense of Russia in all batches of this year is not reported, and the on-board and registration numbers of Su-35S aircraft in the officially distributed UAC video and photographic materials are retouched, although it can be recognized that the on-board numbers of Su-35S aircraft of the first two batches were blue.
In the previous 2022, the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant named after Yuri Gagarin handed over seven Su-35S fighters to the Russian Aerospace Forces - three in September and four in December.
Presumably, the Su-35S fighters that have now been transferred were manufactured within the framework of the fourth contract concluded in 2021 by the UAC for the supply of Su-35S aircraft to the Ministry of Defense of Russia. It is possible that this contract includes 24 aircraft with delivery by 2024. Presumably, the first four fighters under this contract were handed over to the VKS in December 2022 and apparently had blue tail numbers "04", "05", "06" and "07". Presumably, in 2023, 12 Su-35S aircraft were eventually delivered under this contract.
Prior to that, under the three previous contracts of 2009, 2015 and 2020, the Russian Aerospace Forces received 104 serial Su-35S aircraft from 2012 to 2022, and taking into account the four sides delivered under the new contract in December 2022, by the beginning of 2023, the Russian Aerospace Forces received 108 serial Su-35S.
