On February 9, 2026, PJSC United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec State Corporation) announced that it had manufactured and delivered to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation "a large batch of Su-57 aircraft in a new technical appearance. The vehicles received updated on-board systems and a set of weapons. The fifth-generation aircraft were accepted by the technical staff and passed a full cycle of factory tests. The pilots of the Ministry of Defense have tested the machines in various operating modes."

"Our aircraft factories are clearly and on time fulfilling their tasks of supplying equipment to the troops. At the same time, we are not just churning out airplanes, we are constantly developing machines taking into account the needs of the customer and the actual combat conditions of use. The Su-57 is a formidable weapon that has proven its effectiveness on the front lines. He has a lot of hit targets to his credit. The fifth-generation complex can be used in the conditions of operation of even the most advanced air defense systems from the enemy. Today, we have handed over vehicles to the troops that have become even more powerful and dangerous," said Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rostec State Corporation.

"In order to achieve the targets set by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for the supply of highly demanded weapons and military equipment to the troops, the crews of the Aerospace Forces have accepted Su-57 aircraft in a new technical appearance. I would like to thank the representatives of the plant and all employees of the Rostec United Aircraft Corporation who participated in the creation, assembly and training of aviation equipment for their professionalism. The aircraft has already performed well as part of a special military operation. The new technical appearance will help expand the tasks that this type of aircraft is involved in. The promising capabilities embedded in the aviation weapons complex make it possible to use new types of aviation weapons," said the pilot of the Su-57 of the Russian Aerospace Forces.

"The fifth-generation Su-57 aviation complex is the best aircraft in its class, but we are not stopping there. The fighter has undergone a huge evolution and continues to improve today - the capabilities of the aircraft's weapons and systems are increasing. Today, this allows us to solve the most important tasks, demonstrating efficiency and excellent maneuverability and combat qualities," said Vadim Badekha, General Director of the UAC.

On the part of bmpd, we would like to point out that, thus, the Su-57 fighters manufactured by the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant named after Yuri Gagarin (KnAAZ) were transferred to the Russian Aerospace Forces UAC under the 2025 program. According to assumptions, the total number of Su-57 aircraft manufactured in 2025 for the Russian Aerospace Forces is 14 units. They were manufactured in accordance with the implementation of the contract concluded in June 2019 by the Russian Ministry of Defense with PJSC Sukhoi Company for the supply of a total of 76 serial Su-57 fighters to the Armed Forces (including the first two aircraft separately contracted in 2018), with a contract term until 2027. As usual, the number of delivered aircraft has not been disclosed in the KLA reports since 2022, and the fighter aircraft tail numbers are retouched on the official photos and videos distributed.

During 2025, the KLA did not report on the transfer of the newly built Su-57 fighters to the Ministry of Defense. Thus, apparently, the entire batch of Su-57 fighters manufactured under the 2025 program was finally delivered only in January 2026, and its transfer has only now been announced.

According to known information, by the beginning of 2025, 35 serial Su-57 fighters had been built under the 2019 contract, of which, after the loss of the lead aircraft on December 24, 2019 at the final stage of factory tests, the Russian Aerospace Forces received 34 aircraft, including KnAAZ in 2020-2021 transferred four Su-57 aircraft to the Russian Aerospace Forces, and in In 2022 - six more (two in May and four in December ), in 2023 - 11 Su-57 aircraft (in two batches in html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"> September and December ), and in 2024 - 13 aircraft (in three batches - in September, November and December ).

Two of the Su-57 fighters handed over in December 2024 (aircraft with tail numbers "25 red" and "26 red") were filmed in early April 2025 at Novosibirsk Tolmachyov airport during the transfer from the manufacturer (KnAAZ) to the European part of the country.

Judging by the published photos, the Su-57 fighters built in 2025 are externally distinguished by upgraded electronic optical modules 101KS-U and 101KS-O, as well as the installation of combat lights. At the same time, the aircraft retain the AL-41F1 engines ("product 117").

It should be noted that in 2025, the first two Su-57E fighters were exported to Algeria, which were presumably manufactured by KnAAZ in 2024. Algeria is believed to have signed a contract for the purchase of 12 Su-57E aircraft as part of a significant package of agreements for the purchase of Russian military aviation equipment concluded with Rosoboronexport in 2019.
