The laying of the small hydrographic vessel "Yakov Lapushkin" of project 19910 (factory number 01802) at the Vimpel SSZ was carried out on January 22, 2019, the contract deadline for its delivery was 2022. The vessel was launched on May 25, 2022 and in August 2022 was towed by inland waterways to the delivery base in Kronstadt. However, the tests and delivery of the vessel were delayed for almost a year. The acceptance certificate was signed on August 2, 2023.

This is the second vessel of the 19910 project, built by the Vimpel SSZ - previously, the company built a vessel of this project, Nikolay Skosyrev (factory number 01801), which was laid down on December 25, 2015, launched on June 26, 2019 and joined the Northern Fleet on June 27, 2020.

Earlier, according to this project 19910, the Rybinsk Shipbuilding Plant CJSC (now the Nobel Brothers Shipyard LLC) built the lead small hydrographic vessel Vaigach, which became part of the Baltic Fleet in April 2008, and the Viktor Faleev vessel of the modified project B19910 was built at Vostochnaya Shipyard in Vladivostok., transferred to the Pacific Fleet in January 2013.

Another such MGS "Alexander Rogotsky" (factory number 201) of the 19910 project was built at JSC "Shipbuilding Plant named after the October Revolution" in Blagoveshchensk (Amur Region) and commissioned into the Pacific Fleet on September 6, 2019. On March 26, 2020, another MGS of the project 19910 "Vasily Bubnov" (factory number 202) was laid in Blagoveshchensk. This vessel was planned to be handed over to the Pacific Fleet in 2023, but, apparently, it turned into a long-term construction.
