Earlier, a TASS source in the military-industrial complex reported that a series of six Varshavyanka submarines will be laid for the Northern Fleet, the decision on construction has already been made, but the contract has not been signed. According to him, the implementation of the contract will begin no earlier than 2024.
On the part of bmpd, we recall that to date, six large diesel-electric submarines of Project 06363 for the Black Sea Fleet, commissioned by the Russian Navy in 2014-2016, have been built under contracts in 2010 and 2011 at Admiralty Shipyards JSC (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation JSC - USC) in St. Petersburg, and under the 2016 contract, a series of six Project 06363 submarines is being built for the Pacific Fleet (the first four submarines were commissioned in 2019-2022).
In August 2020, the Russian Ministry of Defense signed a contract for the construction of another large submarine of project 06363 (according to preliminary data, it was named Petrozavodsk), and in August 2022 - a contract for the construction of three more submarines of project 06363.
