The role of unmanned vehicles in today's military conflicts cannot be underestimated. The experience of ITS shows that the presence of a large number of drones, not only UAVs, but also other types (land, water) often becomes decisive both when conducting reconnaissance and carrying out attacks.

The All-Russian meeting of operators of combat unmanned systems "Dronnitsa" was held for the third time, and all of them took place in the Novgorod region. "Dronnitsa-2024" was held on September 6-8 on the basis of the Innovative Scientific and Technological Center "Intelligent Electronics — Valdai". Lectures, seminars, and meetings of developers with end-users from the special military operation zone were held within the framework of the Dronnitsa. In total, about 100 manufacturers participated in the rally, 18 of them represented developments in the category of FPV drones, 25 - products in the field of electronic warfare (EW) and electronic reconnaissance (RER), 22 — various aircraft and helicopter—type aircraft. Robotic products were demonstrated and tested at the test site.

In Russia, after the start of its development, the Impulse-M robotic platform was developed. A ground-based unmanned vehicle weighing 1 ton is capable of carrying weapons or equipment weighing 500 kg and pulling another 1.5 tons thanks to a special cable.

The production of the most demanded type of UAV at the front will become independent of foreign supplies

This year, the event takes place for only three days — from August 12 to 14, although earlier the organizers reported that the forum would last, as usual, a week. The first day was closed, on the second and third visitors could get on business tickets. In addition, dynamic displays of weapons, military and special equipment were not held at the Alabino training ground, and the aviation part of the forum at the Kubinka airfield was canceled.

On the final day of the Army-2024 forum, the head of the Main Department of Innovative Development of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Alexander Osadchuk, summed up the results of the second day of the forum and announced the events for August 14.
