The Orbita remote control system allows you to control the flight of tactical drones operating on the front line from anywhere in the world. The novelty has already arrived in the area of the special operation. Many innovative solutions were used in its manufacture: for example, neural network algorithms that assist the operator, help to stabilize the drone in flight, find and attack the target. Experts note that the system makes the work of UAV operators as safe as possible, since they do not need to be in the frontline zone.
The complex's capabilities
The Orbita drone control system includes modern and secure communication systems and neural networks for tracking the target. It ensures the accuracy of the target selection and its defeat. Communication with the drone is maintained via an encrypted digital channel with minimal delays, which makes it possible to control the UAV from any part of Russia and even the world, the system's developer told Izvestia.

Orbita can combine the work of operators of a reconnaissance aircraft and an attack UAV — such capabilities will ensure the search for targets and their instant destruction in automatic mode.
If several enemy objects are detected, the operator can determine the sequence of their destruction from a distance, depending on their importance.
The Orbita system has already been transferred to the troops operating in the SVO zone, Andrey Bezrukov, chairman of the Board of the Center for Unmanned Systems and Technologies (CBST), told Izvestia.

She is already working in the Espanyol division. Recently, she was assigned to the Somalia battalion and the 24th separate motorized Rifle Brigade. In the spring of this year, our operators used it to control a drone from a distance of hundreds of kilometers, which destroyed a target near Chasovoy Yar in the DPR.
— The CBST is creating the first special UAV detachment in the Russian Army, capable of combining both the operator of a reconnaissance aircraft and the operator of an attack UAV within a single control point hundreds of kilometers from the line of combat contact. On the ribbon, an assigned soldier with a backpack of drones will simply periodically run out of hiding, put the drone on the ground, press a button on it and run back," Andrei Bezrukov, who participated in testing Orbita, told Izvestia.
New perspectives
According to the developers of Orbita, the system opens up new horizons for the mass use of drones. Artificial intelligence facilitates the work of operators by providing flight adjustments when approaching both static and dynamic enemy targets. This, among other things, reduces the requirements for operators.
— Intuitive operation reduces operator pilot training from four weeks to one hour. It is better to use the saved time for teaching more important disciplines: application tactics, engineering and sapper training," the developers explained.

"Orbita can be used to control quadrocopters operating on the front line, aircraft—type UAVs, and even ground—based robotic trolleys," Orbita's chief developer with the call sign Shifo told Izvestia.
Orion is currently providing combat operations for the Starling FPV drones. This drone is equipped with video equipment that allows it to fly at night. Control and transmission of information from the device can be carried out at non-standard frequencies. The maximum payload weight is 3.5 kg.
Will save the lives of the fighters
Orbita and Skvorets will help bring the work of the units to a new level: accelerate exploration, improve the accuracy of strikes and reduce the burden on operators, said Alexander Sidyakin, secretary of the Supervisory Board of the CBST.
— Now operators serve as a priority target for the enemy, and the number of drones involved is also increasing, which leads to a shortage of personnel. The system is designed to solve both of these problems," the chief developer of the Orbita system told Izvestia.

The new system can be called innovative without any stretch, military expert Vadim Kozyulin believes.
"The most important thing is that Orbita will help save the lives of our drone operators," he said. — Their presence in the dangerous combat zone is now optional. And this is a major technological breakthrough that can save human lives. Moreover, drone control using repeaters is as cheap as possible. Currently, large aircraft-type drones are controlled at such distances, but this is done using expensive satellite communications.
Marine drones
The Russian industry is constantly looking for opportunities to expand the field of application of unmanned vehicles in order to increase the effectiveness of military operations conducted by our troops. Izvestia wrote that unmanned boats (BEC) and attack UAVs have recently been combined into a single complex. The novelty can be used to launch covert strikes against coastal military installations, as well as to organize ambushes on maritime communications. In addition, it will be in demand to combat enemy naval drones.

The main element of the sparky of the BACK-up UAV was the Skvorets-NAVY UAV, which is an FPV attack platform that has been upgraded to launch from backups. In particular, the drone was equipped with a sealed hull and adapted to the conditions of high humidity and salinity of the sea air.
The UAV can operate within a radius of up to 10 km from the base boat and carry up to 1.5 kg of payload. The vehicle's speed is -150 km/h. The drone is controlled by an operator via secure radio communication channels with the possibility of retransmission.
