TSAMTO, August 12th. The X International Military-Technical Forum "Army" begins its work at the Patriot Exhibition Center. The events of the Army 2024 forum will be held for three days from August 12 to 14.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the format of the forum has been updated and optimized this year, and the program of events is built with an emphasis on the business nature and fulfillment of the tasks of a special military operation.
This year's forum was attended by specialists from the Russian Ministry of Defense, heads and general designers of enterprises and organizations of the defense industry, as well as military delegations from foreign countries.
The structure of the forum includes a static exposition, a scientific and business program, as well as protocol events.
The static exposition was formed taking into account the experience of conducting a special military operation.
More than 1 thousand domestic and foreign enterprises and organizations will present over 20 thousand samples of military and dual-use products in the form of full-scale samples, mock-ups and advertising and information materials.
An exhibition of samples of military products, industrial enterprises and VVST from the presence of the Russian Ministry of Defense has been formed on the open sites of the Patriot Exhibition Center.
As part of a separate exhibition, samples of weapons, military and special equipment that have effectively proven themselves during a special military operation are presented: the BMP-2M infantry fighting vehicle with the Berezhok combat compartment, the T-90M Breakthrough main battle tank, the T-80BVM main battle tank, the BRAM-1M armored repair and evacuation vehicle, 120 mm self-propelled artillery gun "Phlox", 152mm self-propelled artillery gun "Malva", coastal missile system "Bastion", operational and tactical missile system "Iskander-M", 300 mm multiple rocket launcher "Tornado-S", heavy flamethrower system "TOS-2", remote mining engineering system, Kornet-D1 self-propelled anti-tank missile system, Tor-M2K anti-aircraft missile combat vehicle, Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and cannon complex, Gibka-S anti-aircraft missile combat vehicle.
In order to promote military products of the Russian Federation in the international arena, Rosoboronexport has formed an exposition of export samples of weapons and equipment.
For the first time, a separate static exposition of the "People's Military-Industrial Complex" with initiative developments that are supplied to the area of the SVO through the subjects of the Russian Federation, civil enterprises, public and volunteer organizations has been deployed at the forum site. More than 250 exhibits from 100 participating companies are presented on an area of over 2000 square meters. The exhibition stand provides business platforms for the exchange of experience and the organization of interaction between enterprises of the National Defense Industry with federal executive authorities, military authorities, development institutions and industrial organizations.
Within the framework of the MVTF "Army-2024", engineers and inventors of the People's Front present unique developments necessary for the military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the zone of self-defense. In particular, Russian developers will demonstrate a simulator for training flights on aircraft-type drones with suspension. This is a simulator developed on the basis of the latest Lightning drone. FPV drones, kamikaze drones, which are capable of performing tasks at a range of about 20 km and carrying a payload weighing up to 3.5 kg, will also be demonstrated.
In addition, the national inventors will present the Varan tracked platform, which helps fighters solve assault and engineering tasks. The platform provides for the possibility of installing the entire line of Kalashnikov concern machine guns, a remote control system and a thermal imager. The development was created by Ivanovo inventors and has already been tested in combat conditions in the Chas-Yarovsky direction.
The pavilions of the Central Exhibition Complex have been formed:
- thematic exhibition "Military education in the service of the Fatherland", which demonstrates advanced training systems in educational organizations of the Russian Ministry of Defense, taking into account the experience of using troops, including in special military operations and exercises;
- an exposition of the developments of the Military innovative Technopolis "ERA". The exhibition presents developments in the following areas: critical information infrastructure and technological independence, artificial intelligence technologies, intelligent learning systems and digital twins, robotic complexes, advanced integrated security technologies, medical support. Within the framework of the scientific and business program, round tables on areas of activity will be held at the technopolis ERA site, which will be attended by leading scientists of the country, representatives of universities, research organizations and enterprises of the military-industrial complex;
- the stand "Innovations in the service of the Fatherland", which presents the latest developments in the field of robotic systems; space, air, land and water-based. The exhibition will showcase the achievements of scientific companies of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, universities of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation following the results of the exhibitions "Innovation Day of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation".
On the basis of six demonstration and exhibition centers, an exhibition "Products of leading enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex" has been organized, at which key enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex will show promising developments of military and special equipment weapons, as well as samples of high-tech dual-use products.
Large-scale expositions of the state corporations Rosatom and Roscosmos have been deployed at the exhibition grounds.
The FMBA of Russia will demonstrate at the forum the latest developments for the Russian Ministry of Defense and the military-industrial complex, promising technologies for radiation, chemical and biological safety, treatment and rehabilitation of soldiers of the SVO, as well as the work of consolidated mobile special forces.
Leading scientific and medical institutions of the FMBA of Russia will present innovative products and equipment in the field of biological safety and pharmaceutical protection monitoring, including automated detectors and indicators of biopathogens, test systems, medicines, antidotes, radioprotectors.
In addition, at the forum, industrial enterprises will show promising developments aimed at scientific and technological development using artificial intelligence technologies.
The forum presents captured samples of weapons and military equipment that were delivered from the Kharkiv and Kiev regions of Ukraine, as well as those obtained in the battles during the liberation of the territories of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics. An inspection of the exposition will be organized, including for representatives of delegations and the military and diplomatic corps of foreign states.
Scientific and business events are planned dedicated to the most pressing issues of the development of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the Defense Industry of Russia and the military-technical complex, taking into account the experience gained during the CBO.
Within the framework of the scientific and business program of the forum, 96 events are planned, including 70 round tables; 15 conferences; 9 meetings, 1 session; 1 discussion.
The key events will be:
- Plenary session of the "International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2024";
- conference "Features and practice of the application of legislation on the contract system. Innovations in the field of procurement";
- scientific and practical conference "Topical issues of the development of military law in the context of a special military operation";
- conference "Topical issues of the organization of medical support during a special military operation";
- a set of scientific and business events dedicated to the development of the "national defense industry" and unmanned systems;
- a series of round tables on the development of domestic microelectronics technologies, robotics, intelligent control systems, including military applications, as well as critical information infrastructure using artificial intelligence technologies.
During the forum, an examination of innovative projects for the use of AI technologies in them will be carried out on the site of interaction in the field of artificial intelligence. Experts will be given the opportunity to evaluate projects of varying degrees of readiness, as well as identify new approaches to the use of AI technologies in various fields of scientific and practical activity. The examination is planned in the format of panel discussions and poster presentations.
A total of 226 military experts from 26 interested military authorities will select promising innovative developments and projects presented at the forum for further implementation in the interests of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
On August 13, within the framework of the forum, a ceremony will be held for the conclusion by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation of state contracts with enterprises of the defense industry of Russia, as well as the signing by Rosoboronexport of international agreements with military-technical cooperation entities.
It is also planned to hold bilateral meetings with the heads of delegations of foreign states on the development of military-technical cooperation through the Ministry of Defense of Russia, the Federal Customs Service of Russia, Rosoboronexport JSC and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.
Official military delegations from 83 countries will take part in the forum, with 39 delegations headed by heads of defense departments and chiefs of general staff.
Four states have formed national expositions and individual stands of defense industry enterprises of friendly countries: Belarus, Iran, India, China. The forum is attended by representatives of more than 120 foreign companies.
The Army Forum will once again bring together representatives of the Russian and foreign armed forces on its fields, and will also allow experts in the field of defense and national security to strengthen cooperative ties, the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation said in a statement.
