The salon was visited by 15 foreign military delegations, and 50 military attaches from friendly countries took part in it
ST. PETERSBURG, June 23rd. /tass/. Over 200 companies of the military-industrial complex presented their products at the International Naval Salon "Fleet-2024", which took place from June 19 to 23 in Kronstadt. For the second year in a row, the main Russian exhibition of achievements in domestic shipbuilding, as well as new naval weapons and special equipment, was held on the territory of the Museum of Naval Glory and the congress and exhibition center of the Island of Forts cluster.
The salon, whose strategic media partner was TASS, was visited by 15 foreign military delegations, and 50 military attaches from friendly countries also took part in it. Representatives of the CIS countries, the Middle East, Asia and Latin America were also present. The exposition of the salon traditionally included shipbuilding and shipbuilding, weapons and armament, combat control systems, navigation and communications, shipboard power plants, marine aviation, new technologies and promising materials.
Within the framework of Fleet 2024, 16 warships and vessels in service with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Border Service of the FSB of Russia were demonstrated at the berth at the exhibition center. These included the Mozhaisk and Kronstadt submarines, the Savvy corvette, the Midshipman Lermontov and Ivan Pasko amphibious assault boats, the Lev Chernavin minesweeper, special services boats and others. The first K-3 Leninsky Komsomol nuclear submarine could be seen all day in the Museum of Naval Glory.
One of the highlights of the naval salon was the performance of the Russian Knights aerobatic team. The crews of the Su-35S multi-purpose fighters with a controlled thrust vector performed aerobatics during the days of the forum.
Russia follows the global trend
Among the main exhibits of the Fleet-2024 exhibition were the unmanned boats (BEC) Vizir, Orkan, BEC-1000 and the autonomous uninhabited vehicle MMT-300. The latest samples of Russian products were demonstrated for the first time at the open exposition of naval equipment as part of the Rosoboronexport stand.
One of the most interesting novelties was the Vizir backup system, a universal platform suitable for use in both military and civilian purposes. The boat was developed by specialists of the Military-industrial Holding KMZ (Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant).
Rosoboronexport said that the latest backups aroused interest among representatives of Southeast Asian and African countries. The organization also noted that Russia can occupy a worthy niche in the global BEC market.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Alexander Moiseev, who took part in the MVMS, declared the impossibility of the existence of a modern Russian navy without the use of unmanned systems.
Berezhok and backup monitoring
In recent months, robotic boats have been increasingly used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in attempts to strike Russian targets. In Kronstadt, the Berezhok combat department - a complex of weapons with a fire control system and guided weapons "Kornet" - was shown by the Tula Instrument Engineering Design Bureau (KBP) of the High-Precision Complexes holding (part of Rostec).
The Berezhka armament includes a 30-mm 2A42 automatic cannon, a 7.62mm PKTM machine gun, a 30-mm AG-30M automatic grenade launcher, as well as two Kornet anti-tank guided missile launchers with two missiles each. The "High-precision complexes" stressed that some types of unmanned boats are distinguished by serious protection and with the help of small-caliber projectiles they cannot always be disabled.
Another solution was shown at the MVMS, which allows tracking unmanned boats from the air. This is an unmanned aerial vehicle of the VT-30E helicopter type from the scientific and production enterprise Radar MMS, which can be used to monitor the water area for backups.
For the first time, Radar MMC presented the VT-30E unmanned helicopter at the marine salon in integration with an automated docking station - a drone port designed for regular monitoring of facilities. As reported in Radar MMS, the use of a drone provides round-the-clock access to hard-to-reach and dangerous areas.
Another development that allows tracking, including maritime targets, is an automated long-range radio monitoring complex created at the Vector Research Institute of the Roselectronics holding. Thanks to the passive principle of operation, it detects targets going into radio silence mode, while remaining invisible.
Also during the salon, it became known about the upcoming state tests of the tugboat combat swimmer "Triton", designed for rescue and sabotage operations. The product is designed for diving to a depth of 120 m.
Submarines and missile ships
The United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) presented the largest exposition at the MVMS, consisting of more than 40 projects. Among the most interesting projects at the corporation's stand are submarines and vehicles developed by the Central Committee of MTB Rubin (Project 636 submarine with the Club missile system, Amur 1650 submarine with an air-independent power plant (VNEU), Amur 950 diesel-electric submarine, remote-controlled uninhabited underwater vehicle (TNPA) Talisman-2) and JSC SPMBM Malachite (small submarine P-750B, ultra-small submarine Triton, manned underwater vehicle Jason), as well as the Ship Repair Center Zvezdochka (large diesel-electric submarine of project 877EKM).
The head of the USC, Andrei Puchkov, said in an interview with TASS during the Fleet 2024 salon that the corporation's share in the state defense order of the Navy is about 75%. The CEO of the corporation also said that priorities have changed in surface shipbuilding. They have moved from increasing the number of weapons carriers to increasing the number of precision weapons on a single carrier with the ability to quickly recharge the ship.
In addition, Rosoboronexport presented the Tiger corvette in a new export appearance with the multifunctional radar complex MF RLK Zaslon, the Rubezh-ME coastal missile system, and the Klavesin-1RE marine robotic complex at the MVMS. Also, foreign customers were shown the Karakurt-E corvette, the Tornado small missile ship, the large amphibious assault ship of Project 11711, the BK-16E and BK-10 amphibious and special purpose boats, as well as diesel-electric submarines of projects 636 and Amur-1650.
The camera that visited the Mariana Trench
The Energia plant of the Roselektronika holding (part of the Rostec State Corporation) for the first time showed the KT-1200 television camera used during the research of the bottom of the Mariana Trench at the Fleet 2024. The camera was submerged to a depth of 10,028 m as part of the uninhabited underwater vehicle Vityaz-D in 2020 and is capable of operating at depths up to 12 km. According to the organization, the built-in processor allows you to process video in real time to get the best picture. Currently, work is underway to modernize the television camera.
