As reported, on April 27, 2024, PJSC Almaz Shipbuilding Company in St. Petersburg traditionally launched the border patrol ship of the 3rd rank Kavkaz, a modified project 10410 (code "Firefly") with the alleged factory number 317, which is under construction for the Border Service of the FSB of Russia, without publicity.
Built at PJSC Shipbuilding Company Almaz for the Border Guard Service of the FSB of Russia, the border patrol ship of the 3rd rank Kavkaz of the modified project 10410 (code "Firefly") with the alleged factory number 317 in a floating dock before launching. As usual, the issuance of an order and the laying of the border patrol ship "Kavkaz" of the modified project 10410 was not discussed.
Earlier, the Border Guard Service of the FSB of Russia resumed the construction of the project 10410 RCMP in a modified version, issuing orders in 2016 for the construction of four units - two at JSC Vostochnaya Verf in Vladivostok (factory numbers 414 and 415), one at PJSC Yaroslavl Shipbuilding Plant (factory number 809), and one was at PJSC Shipbuilding Company Almaz in St. Petersburg (factory number 313). Previously, from 1988 to 2015, a total of 33 Project 10410 and 10410B PCRs were built at these three shipyards for the Border Guard Service, and seven project 10412 for foreign customers (six for Vietnam and one for Slovenia).
The PKR-933 Kerch, built under these contracts at PJSC Almaz Shipbuilding Company, was commissioned relatively quickly - on October 26, 2018, and then became part of the Border Department of the FSB of Russia for the Republic of Crimea. The Balaklava was laid down in Yaroslavl on June 15, 2017 and launched on July 17, 2018, and then towed for completion and testing to the Persey Sevastopol Shipyard, but as a result, the ship was there for more than two years and was commissioned only on October 14, 2020.
Both the Vladivostok Pskov Nevelsk and Nakhodka, designated as project 10410B and laid down in 2017, turned into long-term construction and were launched only in 2019. They were put into operation in Vladivostok only on October 6, 2021.
In 2020, construction began on the SF Almaz of two more Pskov "Novorossiysk" (factory number 314, launched on December 1, 2021) and "Sochi" (factory number 315, launched on April 14, 2022). Both of them were commissioned at the end of 2022.
Then the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk RCMP (factory number 316) was built at SF Almaz, which was launched on April 19, 2023 and transferred to the Far East in the autumn of 2023, where it was commissioned on December 19, 2023. Now the next PKR Kavkaz has been launched (presumed factory number 317).
Starting with the Novorossiysk and Sochi spacecraft, artillery installations (76 mm AK-176MA and 30 mm AK-630) in an upgraded version with "stelsized" turret caps are being installed on the ships of the 10410 project. The ships of this project were also armed with 76-mm artillery installations after an almost 25-year hiatus.
