TSAMTO, August 15. In 2023, the exhibition exposition of the International Military-Technical Forum "Army" provides for many novelties and features.
According to the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the total area of the static exposition of the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2023" is more than 340 thousand square meters. m. Exhibition stands are formed in the pavilions and open areas of the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center and Kubinka airfield.
About 1.5 thousand domestic and foreign enterprises and organizations present more than 28 thousand samples of military and dual-use products in the form of full-scale samples, mock-ups and advertising and information materials.
83 foreign companies participate in the exhibition. This is more than twice the figure of last year. The Republic of Belarus, the People's Republic of China, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and the Republic of India have formed their national expositions.
Traditionally, a specialized exposition of promising weapons of military and special equipment has been deployed on the outdoor site of the Patriot Exhibition Center. The main elements of advanced reconnaissance and firing artillery complexes are demonstrated at the specialized exposition. The exposition includes intelligence and control subsystems linked to the general contour with the means of destruction. Ammunition used by firing means is also presented. Among the samples presented are a 122-mm multiple launch rocket system Tornado-G, an 82-mm self-propelled (wearable) mortar Drok, a 152-mm self-propelled artillery gun on an automobile chassis Malva, a self-propelled anti-tank missile system with two independent sighting and launching modules with two-channel television and radio channels. the Kornet-D1 thermal automatic target tracking system, a 120-mm promising self-propelled artillery piece for Airborne troops "Lotus", a portable radar station for reconnaissance of firing positions of mortars "Aistenok", a complex of automated control of airborne units "Zavet-D", a complex with guided ammunition of small and medium class "Lancet", the point of complex processing of intelligence information "Salaga-O" and others. The exposition demonstrates the high scientific and technical level of development of reconnaissance and fire complexes of Land and Airborne troops.
The exhibition of developments of the Military Innovative Technopolis "ERA" is represented by 63 exhibits and is divided into 5 clusters: "Artificial intelligence technologies", "Unmanned aerial vehicles. Robotic complexes", "Critical information infrastructure. Technological independence", "Intelligent learning systems, digital twins", "Advanced technologies of integrated security and medical support".
In the pavilions of the Central Exhibition Complex formed:
- exposition of manufacturers of radio electronics and trace element base;
- exposition of scientific companies, research and educational organizations of the Ministry of Defense - winners of the exhibitions "Innovation Day of the Ministry of Defense of Russia";
- thematic exhibition "Military education – in the service of the Fatherland", where advanced training systems in educational organizations of the Ministry of Defense of Russia are demonstrated, taking into account the experience of using troops, including in special military operations and exercises;
- the exposition "Military Construction Complex", dedicated to the contribution of military builders to the development of the socio-economic infrastructure of the Republic of Crimea and new regions of the Russian Federation; the exposition "Military Medicine" with a demonstration of advanced technologies used by military medical institutions in the treatment of combat injuries.
The expositions "Diversification of the Russian Military-Industrial Complex" and the specialized exhibition "Strategic Leadership and Artificial Intelligence Technologies" were formed on the open site of the Patriot Exhibition Center in the temporary pavilion.
On the basis of six demonstration and exhibition centers of key domestic enterprises (Kalashnikov Concern JSC, Almaz-Antey Concern JSC, United Shipbuilding Corporation PJSC, United Aircraft Corporation PJSC, Tactical Missile Armament Corporation JSC, Rostec State Corporation), the exhibition "Products of the leading enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Russia".
Key enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex demonstrate promising developments of weapons, military and special equipment, as well as samples of high-tech dual-use products.
Within the framework of the Army-2023 forum, a multimedia exposition and a line of combat, transport, strategic and special aviation aircraft produced by the corporation's enterprises in the form of Su-34, Su-35, Su-57, Su-30SM, Yak-130, Yak-152 models were presented at the demonstration and exhibition center of PJSC UAC, IL-78MK-90A, Il-76MD-90A, Il-112B, Tu-160, Tu-22M3, Tu-95MS, MiG-31, MiG-35, MiG-29K and Be-200. Interactive information panels allow visitors to get acquainted with the characteristics of aircraft.
There is also a special historical exposition dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Ilyushin Design Bureau. The famous Design Bureau celebrated its anniversary in January 2023. The exposition highlights the main points of the development of the famous design bureau, which created unique samples of aviation equipment. A part of the model range of aircraft mass-produced and modernized by the enterprises of PJSC "UAC", including the Yak-130 aircraft in the new corporate livery of UAC Yakovlev, is presented at Kubinka airfield as part of the static exposition.
The largest Russian manufacturer of combat and automatic and sniper weapons, guided artillery shells, as well as a wide range of high-precision weapons, Kalashnikov Concern JSC presents more than 150 exhibits of combat small arms and missile weapons at the Army-2023 forum. For the first time, the AK-19 submachine gun in a shortened version and the Quasi-Mast equipment (payload) lifting system are presented at the exhibition.
The largest shipbuilding company in Russia, JSC United Shipbuilding Corporation, for the first time demonstrates at the demo center the legendary hydrofoil boat Volga-M produced by the More Shipbuilding Plant (part of the USC), as well as 36 exhibits of design bureaus and specialized research centers, shipyards, ship repair and machine-building enterprises, based on which consolidated most of the domestic shipbuilding complex.
The Rostec State Corporation presents over 450 exhibits in its demo center – small arms, ammunition, communications equipment and systems, engines, on-board systems for aviation and much more. A holographic cube is implemented in the Corporation's demonstration pavilion – a digital interactive "showcase" where visitors can get acquainted in multimedia format with the key characteristics of specific products – modern combat helicopters, power plants for aviation, heavy flamethrower systems, etc.
JSC "Tactical Missile Armament Corporation" presents over 90 exhibits. For the first time, the X-69 aviation cruise missile of the new generation, designed for combat use as part of weapons complexes, and the RVV-MD2 air-to-air guided missile, which ensures the defeat of air targets at any time of the day, from any direction, are demonstrated.
JSC "Concern of East Kazakhstan Region "Almaz-Antey" presents more than 80 exhibits. For the first time at the Army-2023 forum, a prototype of a civilian BAZ truck is being demonstrated. The tractor has a high load capacity and cross-country ability: with its own weight of 13 tons, it is able to take out 22 tons of cargo.
Large-scale expositions of the state corporations Rosatom and Roscosmos are deployed at the exhibition grounds.
Traditionally, the Russian Geographical Society will take part in the events of the forum. This year, the RGS exhibition stand is dedicated to the key areas of its activities implemented in cooperation with partner organizations, as well as the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, namely, expeditionary, educational, youth and educational projects.
The aviation cluster at Kubinka airfield presents an exposition in the areas of "Unmanned aviation", "Aviation armament", "Military repair", "Provision of meteorological air navigation", "Air defense systems", "Electronic warfare Systems". The exposition demonstrates modern samples of military aviation and air defense equipment, unmanned aerial vehicles, including: Thunder UAVs, helicopter and copter type UAVs, current and future aviation weapons for Mi-28NM and Ka-52M helicopters and for Su-57 and Su-34. Master classes on the assembly of aircraft models are organized for visitors.
In order to inform about the upcoming "Army International Games-2024", the Polygon Club has been deployed. There are 22 thematic sites on the territory of the club, which show 35 competitions of professional skills of military personnel planned within the framework of ARMI-2024, including various gaming, information zones and recreation areas. The Polygon Club is a place where everyone can come as a family. In addition to the atmosphere of competition, demonstration shows of the work of service dogs in various services are organized for visitors, where everyone will be able to take a memorable photo with four-legged friends. In addition, various simulators are presented at the site, at the Airborne Forces site, those who wish will have the opportunity to take part in an arm wrestling sports competition, as well as first aid at the site of the Military Medical Relay competition.
Within the framework of the Dronbiathlon championship, an expanded set of events will be held for the first time, including a static exhibition of unmanned aerial vehicles and anti-aircraft systems, a scientific and business program with the participation of representatives of federal executive authorities, leading industrial enterprises, scientific and business elites, as well as heads of leading schools for training volunteer FPV pilots. The championship program includes competitions and master classes on practical tasks for piloting FPV drones in a complex electronic environment, reconnaissance and target destruction using methods tested in a real combat situation.
The forum will host for the first time the Festival of the All-Russian Society of Inventors and Innovators "Science and Inventions for Life". The project is aimed at popularizing science and invention in Russia, as well as at finding, demonstrating and supporting developments and solutions created by Russian scientists and inventors.
Participants and guests of the forum will be able to visit the exposition of captured weapons and equipment captured during a special military operation. The exposition itself was formed in August 2022 and during the year of its existence it collected more than 870 samples of weapons and military equipment.
Most of the exhibits are weapons and equipment of the Ukrainian defense industry. Guests of the exhibition will see the modernized T-72AMT tank used by the AFU against Russian troops, armored personnel carriers BTR-3E and BTR-4E, armored vehicles for various purposes and even patrol boats. The exhibition presents the Ukrainian armored vehicles "Varta", "Kozak" and "Triton", the lightly armored boat "Kalkan-P" with the tail number BG-309, developed by the local former Ukrainian plant "Liman" for the needs of the Coast Guard of Ukraine.
The burned Australian Bushmaster armored car, the American M-113 armored personnel carrier, the Swedish CV90-40 BMP, and the French AMX-10RCR wheeled tank will attract special attention of visitors to the exhibition.
Most of the Western captured equipment at the exhibition are British combat vehicles: Hysky and Mastiff armored cars, the AT 105 Saxon car. The description of the exhibits indicates where and under what circumstances they were captured.
