TSAMTO, August 15. Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation - Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov took part in the plenary session of the Army-2023 forum on August 14.

The event was also attended by First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Ruslan Tsalikov, Director General of Rosatom State Corporation Alexey Likhachev, member of the Board of the Military-Industrial Commission of the Russian Federation Mikhail Osyko, First Deputy Director General of Rostec State Corporation Vladimir Artyakov, First Deputy Director General of Roscosmos State Corporation Alexander Ivanov.

In his address to the participants of the meeting, Denis Manturov noted the continued interest of foreign partners in Russian weapons: "This year more than 70 delegations of defense departments of foreign states and representatives of over 80 foreign enterprises came to Russia. This once again shows that attempts to isolate our country are doomed to failure." He also noted the importance of developing military-technical cooperation, stressing that a new round of development of the domestic defense industry will become the basis for strengthening positions in the global arms market.

Speaking about the pace of production of military products, the Deputy Prime Minister noted the special assistance from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in establishing direct interaction between military personnel and engineers and chief designers of weapons: "Objective information obtained first-hand allows us to quickly solve the tasks of improving performance. And most importantly, to increase the degree of protection of personnel and military equipment. The experience that our enterprises are currently receiving is already being used in promising developments."

Denis Manturov paid special attention to the issue of technological sovereignty of the defense industry in his speech.

The first Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Ruslan Tsalikov stressed that the "Army" has become the largest exhibition of achievements of the defense industry of all that are held in the world.

"I want to say that at this forum we will see new achievements of science and technology. We met a year ago, and you can see everything that we were just talking about last year today. For this, I would like to thank the representatives of industry, the heads of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, who take an active part in this. Here, on this large territory, there are entire industrial enclaves where the future is being forged, where new types of weapons, ammunition and everything that should ensure sovereignty and reliable peace for all of us are being created," Ruslan Tsalikov noted.

"We are very grateful to the government, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Defense for the coordinated and effective work, especially in the last year and a half. Now Russia has declared a technological and economic war, and we have demonstrated in almost all directions that we have all the necessary competencies together with our colleagues from Rostec, Roscosmos and many other companies, including private ones. Today, unique technologies are being created in the shortest possible time, and today the task is not only to demonstrate these technologies, but also to overtake our opponents by offering more effective, better solutions in the entire palette of technological sovereignty projects. Some of them are presented at our exhibition – this is robotics, this is a composite industry created almost from scratch, these are innovative products in additive technologies, including mobile complexes that are already working with customers. This is, without a doubt, nuclear medicine, these are power plants and much, much more. They show a very great consolidation and integration of the Russian scientific community – the Kurchatov Institute, institutes, Academy of Sciences, university Science – and our industrial space. I would like to emphasize once again that this is done in alliance with industrial companies, with Russian industrial leaders," said Alexey Likhachev, CEO of Rosatom State Corporation.

As part of the visit to the exhibition exposition of the forum, Deputy Prime Minister - Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia Denis Manturov visited the stands of the traditional partners of the Russian Federation in the field of military-technical cooperation: the Republic of India, the People's Republic of China, the Islamic Republic of Iran.

At the "Civilian Weapons" stand, the Deputy Prime Minister examined various variants of a tactical body kit for firearms, components for ammunition equipment, various variants of hunting weapons from the Kalashnikov concern.
