At the exhibition, it will be possible to see unmanned armored vehicles, the latest ammunition and trophies of the special operation in Ukraine
Kubinka, near Moscow, will host Russia's main international exhibition in the military-technical sphere, the Army—2022 forum, from August 15 to 21. According to the head of the Russian Defense Ministry Sergei Shoigu, this year it is planned to participate about one and a half thousand enterprises and organizations from Russia and abroad. It is expected to sign 36 state contracts with defense industry enterprises totaling 522 billion rubles. A total of 289 events should be held during this time at the facilities of the Patriot park near Moscow, the Alabino training ground, Kubinka airfield. Among the most interesting novelties that will be shown at the "Army" are promising models of armored vehicles, missile weapons and even deep—sea underwater vehicles.
From tanks to drones
The largest enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex will show their most advanced developments at the forum. In particular, Uralvagonzavod will demonstrate T-14 tanks on the Armata platform, upgraded T-90MS, as well as the BMPT-72 tank support combat vehicle.
Armata is a unique Russian development that uses non—standard solutions. The tank has an uninhabited turret, and the crew is in an armored capsule separated from the ammunition. The vehicle is equipped with a remotely controlled combat module, and optoelectronic surveillance, aiming and threat detection devices are installed along the perimeter of the tower and hull.

The T-90MS is the latest modification of the well—proven T-90 tank in military conflicts. The upgraded vehicle received a new turret, power and transmission units and chassis, an updated cannon and ammunition.
A promising modification of the BMP-3 combat vehicle with the Titmouse combat module will be presented for the first time in a dynamic display at the training ground during the forum. The unmanned armored vehicle is controlled completely remotely. According to Vladimir Artyakov, deputy head of Rostec, the robotic complex can be used in the most dangerous areas — to fight in urban areas or to lead a column on the march. The unmanned BMP-3 is armed with a 30 mm automatic cannon, a 7.62 mm machine gun and a 100 mm gun, which can also be used as an ATGM launcher.
Kurganmashzavod will present a modernized self-propelled anti-tank gun "Octopus-SDM1", which in the near future should replenish the arsenal of Airborne troops. In terms of fire capabilities, these vehicles are not inferior to tanks, while their lightweight design allows them to overcome water obstacles afloat and parachute. Compared to its predecessor, it has improved protection and an optoelectronic suppression complex, which provides protection from approaching missiles or laser irradiation.
Rosoboronexport will show potential foreign customers the latest Orlan-10E and Orlan-30 drones capable of targeting high-precision weapons, as well as Kub-E barrage ammunition.

On the eve of the forum, the deputy head of the Russian Aerospace Forces, Lieutenant General Sergei Dronov, said that on the opening day in honor of the centennial anniversary of the Tupolev Design Bureau, Tu-160, Tu-95MS and Tu-22M3 bombers will fly over Kubinka. According to him, in addition to airplanes and helicopters, UAVs and mock-ups of the "Pacer-BLAH" and "Pacer-BLAH-S" drones will be demonstrated in the static exposition. In addition, viewers will be able to see the upgraded MiG-31I, the carrier of the Kinzhal hypersonic complex. The fifth-generation Su-57 fighter will also be shown.
Among the new air defense systems, the Viking medium-range anti-aircraft missile system will be presented. It includes a self-propelled firing system, launchers, as well as a target detection station, which will be demonstrated for the first time.
But the most interesting novelties of the forum will concern missile topics, and in several areas at once, military expert Vladislav Shurygin told Izvestia.
— A small-sized anti—aircraft missile, specially designed to defeat small drones and unguided rockets, has finally been completed for the "Shells", - the expert noted. — There is no need to explain how urgent this task is now. Aviation will also receive its portion of new products. The most interesting is the new ammunition X—69, which is designed to equip our fifth-generation fighters. Heavy long-range weapons can hit critical targets in the operational rear of the enemy and at the same time are extremely difficult to intercept due to their low visibility for radars.

The specialist also noted the family of new modular short-range missiles X-MD. They will be demonstrated in several variants with different types of head parts, allowing use from both manned and unmanned platforms. They will also present a whole line of other light small-sized ammunition, including adjustable bombs, for "small aircraft".
— Well, it is necessary to follow the announcements of Roscosmos. We should expect announcements from him not only in the field of manned cosmonautics, but also dual—use vehicles," Vladislav Shurygin noted.
For the sea — in the Moscow region
For the first time, the United Shipbuilding Corporation will present samples of uninhabited underwater remote-controlled vehicles at the forum. In particular, it will be possible to see the marine mobile underwater vehicle "Juno", the research ANPA "Klavesin-2R", as well as a model of a remote-controlled uninhabited underwater vehicle of the working class "KIT-3000", designed for underwater work on laying and maintenance of offshore pipelines, the company reported.

"This shows the attention paid by the fleet command and the naval industry to underwater vehicles that can operate at great depths," military historian Dmitry Boltenkov told Izvestia. — They are necessary for studying the seabed, searching for underwater objects and natural deposits. For such devices, of course, the future in naval submarine warfare.
From the battlefields
In a separate exhibition "Armies-2022", the visitors of the forum will be shown captured samples of military equipment of the armed formations of Ukraine and Western countries. Among them is a modification of the T—72AMT main battle tank, created at the Kiev Armored Plant, as well as a whole line of armored personnel carriers built on the basis of Soviet armored personnel carriers. The BTR-3E is equipped with an Assault combat module, a 30-millimeter automatic cannon, a paired 7.62-millimeter machine gun, and a Barrier anti-tank missile system. BTR-4 "Bucephalus" from Kharkiv Design Bureau of Mechanical Engineering. Morozova is also armed with an automatic cannon. Components from Western countries are used in the production of the machine.
