First deputy chairman of the Military-industrial complex Board Yelchaninov: PAK DA will enter service after 2024
Promising long-range aviation complexes (PAK DA) will enter service in the period from 2024 to 2033. Aircraft deliveries are provided for by the new State Armament Program. Andrei Yelchaninov, First Deputy chairman of the Board of the Military-Industrial Commission (MIC) of Russia, called the timing of the receipt of the complexes in an interview with Interfax .
"The work on the PAK DA is on schedule and is provided with the necessary funding in full for the entire duration of the state contract. Deliveries of this aircraft will be provided for by the new armament program. Two prototypes of the PAK DA engine have been manufactured, and their bench tests have begun. During them, the characteristics of the terms of reference were confirmed," Yelchaninov said.
Also, within the framework of the new State Armament Program for 2024-2033, PJSC Tupolev will be assigned new tasks. Yelchaninov noted that the manufacturer will equip the aircraft with new weapons and work out their interaction with drones.
In August, a TASS source in the aircraft industry called the deadline for the readiness of the first PAK DA sample. He noted that the demonstration model of the aircraft will be assembled by 2023.
In June, TASS, citing a source in the military-industrial complex, reported about the creation of a protection complex for PAK DA. The new development will provide electronic protection against enemy air and missile defenses.
