In 2022, new aircraft with hypersonic weapons will be put on combat duty in the aviation military units of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS). This was told to the newspaper "Krasnaya Zvezda" by the deputy Commander-in-chief of the VKS, Lieutenant General Andrey Yudin.
He clarified that within the framework of the year of flight training, "more than 200 units of advanced models of the Air Force (weapons, military and special equipment), including those with hypersonic weapons, will be put on combat duty."
In August, the head of the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Colonel-General Vladimir Zarudnitsky, said that Russia will create the latest long-range aviation hypersonic missile X-95. He stressed that prototypes of the new product have already been tested from an air carrier.
Also, according to Zarudnitsky, unmanned aerial vehicles of various classes, over-the-horizon radar stations, anti-aircraft missile systems and complexes, as well as other latest military equipment are being created for the Aerospace Forces.
Earlier it was reported that a Su-57 fighter with eye and voice control will appear in Russia. Now the system has been tested on a stand on the ground, but its operation is much more complicated in the air.
