Among them is the RCB reconnaissance vehicle RHM-9 based on the Typhoon-K car, said the head of the radiation, chemical and biological protection troops, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov

MOSCOW, November 12. /tass/. The promising radiation, chemical and biological (RHB) reconnaissance vehicle RHM-9 will enter service with the Russian army in the coming years. This was announced in an interview with the newspaper "Krasnaya Zvezda" by the head of the radiation, chemical and biological protection troops, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov.

"In the coming years, we expect the arrival of such a new sample of special equipment as the promising RCB reconnaissance vehicle RHM-9 based on the Typhoon-K car. A completely new instrument complex has been developed for the machine, which allows increasing the speed and range of reconnaissance by 1.5-2 times," Kirillov said.

He noted that an unmanned aerial vehicle from the RHM-9 machine, if necessary, can be used to solve other tasks in the interests of troops when carrying out RCB protection measures. This complex allows you to conduct radiation reconnaissance of the terrain at altitudes up to 300 m in automatic, semi-automatic and manual control mode, photo and video shooting at any time of the day.

In addition, Kirillov added, a mobile multipurpose robotic complex of the MRK-RKHBZ protection RCB troops is currently being developed as part of two ground-based robotic vehicles and two drones based on Orlan-10 with sets of replaceable attachments. This complex is equipped with a noise-proof control and data transmission system.

According to the head of the troops, the complex is currently undergoing preliminary tests. Its robots are capable of performing tasks both in automatic mode and under operator control. The ground facilities of the complex are capable of conducting radiation and chemical reconnaissance at a distance of up to 6 km, the range of the unmanned aerial vehicle from the complex for the transmission of service information will be 25 km.
