The Marker robotic system will be able to identify several types of targets. The robot, which was previously called deadly, will receive funds to fight drones. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the NGO "Android Technology".
The company noted that the robotic platform can detect unauthorized entry of people, vehicles and unmanned aerial vehicles. When a person is detected, the machine is able to transmit a message about penetration to security units. Also, the "Marker" can pursue the violator on transport.
To counter drones, the robot can get special devices. The press service of the NGO "Android Technology" said that the designers are considering trap nets, kamikaze drones and an electronic warfare complex as a means of disabling drones.
Earlier, the press service of the Foundation for Advanced Research (FPI) reported on the completion of tests of the robotic platform at the Vostochny cosmodrome. During the experiment, the robot patrolled the perimeter of the cosmodrome in autonomous mode.
In September, journalist David Hambling wrote for Forbes about the progress in creating the Marker robot. The author suggested that Russia will start using robots on the battlefield before the United States.
