Japan has begun sea trials of the first type 30FFM frigate, the Mogami ship. Its transfer to the fleet is scheduled for next year.
In March, a landmark event took place for the construction program of Japanese frigates of a new generation — the lead ship JS Mogami was launched. Now, as reported by Naval News, he has begun factory sea trials.
The ship was named after the Mogami River, located in Yamagata Prefecture. FFM is a multi-purpose frigate of a new generation. Among its features is the active use of low-visibility reduction technology.

Recall that an important event for the South Korean Navy took place a few days ago. HHI has officially laid down the lead destroyer of the KDX-III project of the second series.
