Steve Wozniak announced the creation of a space company on Twitter. "Privateer Space begins its activity," the message says.
In the description of the video, which is dedicated to the project, it is claimed that the co-founder of the company was the CEO of the robotics firm Ripcord Alex Fielding.

So far, little is known about the project. It is reported that Privateer Space "will work to preserve a safe and accessible space for all mankind." At the same time, it should not be similar to other companies. Additional information about the initiative is planned to be presented at the Amos Tech conference, which will be held on the island of Maui (Hawaii) from September 14 to 17.
Steve Wozniak is an American inventor, engineer and programmer who co-founded Apple Computer (now Apple Inc.) together with Steve Jobs and Ronald Wayne in 1976. In those years, he single-handedly developed the Apple I and Apple II computers, which became a kind of reference point for the "microcomputer revolution" and predetermined the development of the industry.

Space is becoming increasingly popular for representatives of large businesses. The best example was the billionaire Jeff Bezos, the founder of the corporation Amazon.com, who created the aerospace company Blue Origin in 2000.
The New Shepard spacecraft developed by her went on a flight with people on board for the first time on July 20. The mission was attended by the founder of Blue Origin, his brother, as well as 82-year-old Wally Funk and 18-year-old Oliver Damen.
Even before the manned launch of New Shepard, another company — Virgin Galactic - launched the Unity suborbital spacecraft with passengers. On board was its founder, billionaire Richard Branson. As it turned out, not everything went smoothly: the journalists found out that they had identified technical problems during the flight.
Nevertheless, the flight (as well as the launch of New Shepard) opened a new era of space tourism. Obviously, despite the high price of tickets, the demand for such services will only grow.
On the other hand, as practice shows, not all projects survive to the stage of practical implementation. In the spring, it became known about the closure of the Russian private company "KosmoKurs".
