The new Russian light tactical aircraft (LTS), called Checkmate ("Checkmate") or Su-75, is capable of simultaneously escorting two land and sea targets [...], the chief designer of this fifth-generation single-engine fighter, Mikhail Strelets, told TASS.
"The aircraft's onboard equipment with an integrated AFAR radar (active phased array antenna) is capable of attacking six and tracking up to 30 aerial targets," the specialist said.
According to Sagittarius, " the new aircraft is equipped with an ergonomic cabin equipped with advanced electronic equipment with elements of artificial intelligence," which "allows you to significantly reduce the load on the pilot and focus on destroying ground and air targets."
In July, Rostec presented the LTS at the International Aviation and Space Salon 2021 (MAKS-21).
In the same month, the state corporation published on Twitter an image of a part of the fuselage of the Su-75, which reflects a warship resembling the British destroyer Defender type 45, which in June violated the borders of Russia in the Black Sea.
