Putin named the share of modern weapons in Russia's nuclear triad

Russian President Vladimir Putin, during his address to the Federal Assembly, named the share of modern weapons in the country's nuclear triad. The statement of the head of state is reported by RIA Novosti .

"By 2024, the share of modern weapons and equipment in the troops will be almost 76 percent, this is a very good indicator. And in the nuclear triad, this year it will exceed 88 percent, " the president said.

According to the head of state, the Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) will be put into service at the end of 2022.

In April , TASS, citing a source in the military-industrial complex, reported that nuclear submarines (submarines) of the project 885M (code "Ash-M") are capable of firing Kalibr and Onyx missiles in a salvo.
