In accordance with the training plan of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, control checks are conducted in the military administration bodies, formations and military units. During April, 4,048 exercises of various scales, including 812 bilateral ones, will be held at 101 training grounds and 520 objects of the training and material base. This was announced on April 13 by the Russian Defense Ministry.
The exercises are held in all military districts and the Northern Fleet, as well as in the Far North, the Kuril Islands and Kamchatka. All types and branches of the Armed Forces of the Russian Armed Forces participate in the inspections.
As part of the control check under the leadership of the commission of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the training alert, in particular, the peacekeeping units of the Eastern Military District (VVO) in the Primorsky Territory were raised. The military takes part in large-scale exercises on the latest BTR-82AM, which recently entered service with these units.
In total, more than 500 units of weapons, military and special equipment will be involved in the tactical exercises. The maneuvers involved more than 4,000 soldiers of motorized rifle, tank and artillery units, as well as units of the engineering troops, the RCB defense forces, air defense, and electronic warfare units.
During the exercises in the Novosibirsk region, military personnel of the special purpose unit of the Central Military District (CVO) destroyed superior enemy forces. The military overcame the fire-assault lane with various obstacles and simulated fire impact of a simulated enemy.
The elimination of the conditional enemy was carried out from standard weapons, such as AK-74 submachine guns, Pecheneg machine guns and VSS Vintorez rifles.
Tactical and special exercises were conducted as part of a control check for the winter training period. More than 300 military personnel and about 30 pieces of military equipment participated in them.
In turn, the units of the rocket and barrel artillery of the Central Military District during the exercise performed more than 20 firing tasks at the training ground in the Chelyabinsk region. Calculations of multiple rocket launchers "Grad", self-propelled artillery installations "Acacia" and towed howitzers "Msta-B" worked out the destruction of command posts, communication centers, manpower and firepower of the imaginary enemy.
More than 500 servicemen and about 100 pieces of weapons and military equipment took part in the maneuvers.
During the control check for the winter training period, the crews of the operational-tactical aviation of the Air Force and Air Defense Association of the Southern Military District (SE) relocated to operational airfields to perform joint tasks with the naval aviation of the Black Sea Fleet (Black Sea Fleet) .
The control check of the troops of the Southern Military District involves the troops of all the associations of the district, including the Black Sea Fleet and the Caspian Flotilla. It is aimed at improving the level of combat and operational training of the troops and forces of the military district, improving the forms and methods of conducting exercises, classes and training, taking into account the current situation within the boundaries of responsibility.
The control check of the combat training of the troops and forces of the Northern Fleet, including the personnel of the marine brigade, for the winter training period included a battalion tactical exercise. It took place in the area of Lake Santayarvi in the Pechenga district of the Murmansk region. More than 500 servicemen and 50 pieces of military equipment took part in it. The main focus of the exercise was on working out the tactics of conducting maneuverable defense in the conditions of the Far North and the Arctic.
In the Tver region, on the basis of the military transport aviation unit, command flights were conducted with the participation of the senior staff of the military transport aviation. During them, during the day and at night, the crews worked out the main and most complex elements of flight training, including a landing approach with a second round, as well as a simulated landing with the opening of the ramp and side doors in the air. The flights took place in difficult meteorological conditions with a strong crosswind. In total, more than 10 Il-76 aircraft were involved in the flights.
In the Moscow region, at the Alabino and Golovenki training ground, more than 3 thousand tankers of the Guards Tank Army of the ZVO began control firing from all the weapons of the tank following the results of the winter training period. Tankers of the Kantemirov and Taman divisions conducted live firing with a standard shell from 125-mm guns of T-80 and T-72B3 tanks at targets simulating tanks, recoilless guns and RPG calculations of a simulated enemy. In addition, the tankers of the ZVO conducted flank shooting in motion, which is the most difficult element of fire training. More than 600 units of weapons and military equipment were involved in combat shooting.
As sources in the military department told Izvestia, the Defense Ministry began preparing calculations for the most powerful S-500 Prometheus anti-aircraft missile system. In the near future, representatives of all specialties that are necessary for the operation of the complex will complete their training. From them, units will be formed for the operation of equipment.
