The robotic complex was first presented at the "Innovation Day" of the Ministry of Defense in 2015
MOSCOW, February 11. /TASS/. The Russian robotic complex "Udar" will be able to move independently on the battlefield, as well as interact with drones. This was reported to TASS by the industrial director of the arms complex of the Rostec State Corporation Bekhan Ozdoev.
The current prototype of the robotic complex " Udar "was created by JSC "VNII" Signal", which is part of Rostec as part of the"High-precision complexes".
"During the development of Udar, the company's specialists tested the possibility of moving the robot in autonomous mode. For this purpose, the complex includes a motion planning subsystem based on sensors and meters. On the basis of the received data, the route of the robot's movement is formed, while the terrain is taken into account and the parameters of the combat mission can be calculated," Ozdoev said.
The press service of High-Precision Complexes noted that when creating combat robotics, the Signal Research Institute applies a single principle of robotization, which involves equipping existing samples of military equipment with a set of equipment. "The Udar robot, for example, is based on the BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle. According to the same principle, the robotization of combat departments is also carried out - at the moment, six different combat departments that were installed on the machine are robotized," the holding company informed.
In addition, according to the representative of Rostec, "Udar" can interact with unmanned aerial vehicles. "Interaction with drones, including the tethered type with power supply from the robot itself, has been worked out. Such drones can be used for additional reconnaissance and retransmission of the radio control channel, " Ozdoev added.
The complex was tested in interaction with light robots designed for reconnaissance, demolition of targets, transportation of goods and evacuation of the wounded. "The light robot is installed on or in the aft part of the Udar robot and has a mechanism for simplified automatic undocking from the carrier before starting the task,"the Signal Research Institute informed.
The "Udar" robotic system based on the BMP-3 was first presented at the "Innovation Day" of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in 2015.
