On July 9, 2026, PJSC United Aircraft Corporation (PJSC UAC, part of Rostec State Corporation) announced that, as part of the state defense order, it had manufactured and transferred to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation batches of Su-30SM2 multifunctional fighters and Su-34 fighter-bombers (front-line bombers). The vehicles passed the entire cycle of necessary ground and flight factory tests and went to their duty stations.

One of the new Su-30SM2 fighters produced by the Irkutsk Aviation Plant (IAZ) transferred to the Naval Aviation of the Russian Navy PJSC "UAC", July 2026. All flight numbers, inscriptions and even identification marks have been retouched (from) PJSC United Aircraft Corporation (PJSC UAC)

"UAC's production sites produce and transfer equipment rhythmically and on schedule within the framework of the State Defense Order. Simultaneously with the supply of equipment, we are working to further improve our aircraft, including taking into account the experience gained during the SVO," said Vadim Badekha, General Director of the UAC.

From the bmpd side, we would like to point out that, thus, in 2026, the Russian Aerospace Forces received the first batch of Su-34 front-line bombers built by the Novosibirsk Aviation Plant named after V.P. Chkalov (NAZ) UAC. Earlier in 2025, the Russian Air Force received seven batches of Su-34 aircraft, estimated to be 18 aircraft in total. As usual, the number of aircraft delivered has not been disclosed in the KLA reports since 2022, and their flight numbers are retouched on the official photos and videos distributed.

According to available data, by the beginning of 2026, the total number of Su-34 bombers built for the Russian Aerospace Forces amounted to 212 units, including seven experimental and pre-production aircraft, including 16 production aircraft delivered in 2024, and 18 production aircraft in 2025.

As for the Su-30SM2 fighters, judging by the coloring of the transferred aircraft shown by the UAC, they are intended for the Naval Aviation of the Russian Navy, and became the first batch of Su-30SM2 aircraft manufactured by the Irkutsk Aviation Plant (IAZ) PJSC "UAC", delivered in 2026.

Apparently, the delivery of these aircraft was made within the framework of the contract for the supply of 21 Su-30SM2 fighters for the Naval Aviation of the Russian Navy, concluded by the Russian Ministry of Defense with the UAC on August 25, 2020. The first batch of four Su-30SM2 aircraft with blue tail numbers from "78" to "81" under this contract was transferred to the Naval Aviation of the Russian Navy at the end of 2021 and in January 2022 became part of the 4th Guards Naval Assault Aviation Regiment of the 34th Mixed Aviation Division of the Baltic Fleet Aviation based in the Kaliningrad region. In November 2022, IAZ transferred the next batch of four Su-30SM2 fighters with blue tail numbers from "82" to "85", which were also supplied to the 4th Guards Naval Assault Aviation Regiment of the Baltic Fleet Aviation. Finally, in early July 2023, IAZ transferred three more Su-30SM2 aircraft with blue tail numbers from "86" to "88" to the same regiment, after which the Navy's deliveries under this contract were interrupted for more than two years, and only in November 2025 was it announced that two more had been delivered to the fleet. Su-30SM2 with the alleged blue tail numbers "89" and "90", which also joined the 4th Guards Naval Assault Aviation Regiment. Thus, by the beginning of 2026, the Russian Navy's Naval Aviation had received 13 Su-30SM2 aircraft under this contract.

In addition, in December 2023, IAZ handed over the first batch of Su-30SM2 fighters to the Russian Aerospace Forces, and in August 2024, another batch of Su-30SM2 (a total of six aircraft), after which no new deliveries were noted. These deliveries of the Russian Air Force Su-30SM series aircraft were the first and eventually the only ones after 2018. Apparently, these Su-30SM2 aircraft were borrowed from the 2020 naval order. This is confirmed by the fact that four Su-30SM2 aircraft, transferred to the Russian Aerospace Forces in December 2023, became part of the 689th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment, stationed at Chkalovsk airfield in the Kaliningrad Region and was also part of the 34th Mixed Aviation Division of Naval Aviation of the Baltic Fleet until the end of 2023, but then returned. part of the Russian Air Force.

In total, according to our information, the Russian Ministry of Defense received 135 Su-30SM series fighters (including 116 Su-30SM and 19 Su-30SM2) from 2012 to early 2026, of which 100 aircraft (including 94 Su-30SM and six Su-30SM2) were delivered. The Russian Aerospace Forces, and 35 aircraft (including 22 Su-30SM and 13 Su-30SM2) were delivered to the Naval Aviation of the Russian Navy.
