Sweden is considering the possibility of increasing the number of surface warships and submarines in the country's Naval Forces.

In March 2020, the Indian shipbuilding company Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) signed a contract with the Turkish shipbuilding consortium TAIS for the design and construction of five Fleet Support Vessel (FSV) ships with a displacement of 44,000 tons for the Indian Navy.
