TSAMTO, December 16th. Rosoboronexport JSC (part of Rostec Group) will organize a demonstration of the latest Russian developments in the field of defense and security at the Vietnam Defense Expo 2024 International Exhibition, which will be held from December 19 to 22 in Hanoi.
In 2024, the exhibition is timed to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the formation of the Vietnamese People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National National Defense Day of Vietnam.
"Military-technical cooperation between Russia and Vietnam is an important part of the comprehensive strategic partnership between our countries. Rosoboronexport always offers the Vietnamese people the most relevant, reliable and effective Russian defense products to equip the army and security forces," said Alexander Mikheev, Director General of Rosoboronexport. – In 2024, at the Vietnam Defense Expo, Rosoboronexport for the first time outside Russia presents full-scale samples of the protected Typhoon-K vehicle with the Kornet-EM anti-tank missile system, BMP-3 with a set of additional protection and the Rubezh-ME coastal missile system. This military equipment has been refined taking into account the experience of using it in modern combat conditions and can take its rightful place in the ranks of the Vietnamese People's Army."
The unified Russian exposition organized by Rosoboronexport includes 16 manufacturers of weapons and military equipment for the ground forces, air force, naval forces, air defense forces, as well as special purpose units and law enforcement agencies. Among them are the Almaz-Antey Concern of East Kazakhstan Region, ZALA, a Special Technology Center and High-precision Complexes belonging to Rostec, the Kalashnikov Concern, and UAC.
Almost all samples of Russian military products presented at the exhibition have confirmed their characteristics in the conditions of modern high-intensity combat operations.
For the first time abroad, Rosoboronexport will demonstrate the Typhoon-K armored car with an automated launcher of the Kornet-EM anti-tank missile system. This car is characterized by increased mine and ballistic protection, reliability, maneuverability, cross-country ability and innovative approaches to ergonomics, layout and equipment.
The BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle with a set of additional protection, modified taking into account the experience of combat use, will also become the world premiere. To effectively counter modern cumulative munitions, FPV drones and anti-tank missiles, the sample is equipped with on-board screen arrays and a set of upper hemisphere protection equipment. The BMP-3 also provides for the installation of video monitoring and robotics equipment.
In addition, Rosoboronexport will present the Iskander-E tactical missile system, the T-90MS tank, the 152-mm self-propelled howitzer Msta-S, and the Tablet-A complex of control automation tools for artillery and mortar units to representatives of the Vietnamese People's Army and the ground forces of the countries-guests of the exhibition at its stand.
The Lancet-E complex will be presented for the first time in Southeast Asia in full configuration: Product 51-E, Product 52-E and the Z-16-E reconnaissance UAV. Also in the UAV segment, Rosoboronexport will show the Orlan-10E, Orlan-30, S-350-M Skat reconnaissance complexes and the Kub-E barrage munition.
To equip army and special units, law enforcement agencies, Rosoboronexport offers Kalashnikov assault rifles of the two hundredth series, AK-15, AK-19, AK-308, Chukavin sniper rifle, Lebedev PLC pistol, Kalashnikov PPK-20 submachine gun, identifiers of explosives, dangerous chemical, toxic substances and biological agents, metal detectors.
For the first time outside Russia, the Rubezh-ME coastal tactical missile system with the X-35UE missile will be shown to the naval forces of Vietnam and the participating countries of Vietnam Defense Expo 2024. The complex has integrated 4 transport and launch containers, radar, fire control, communications and combat control devices on a single platform. This corresponds to the concept of a "rocket boat on wheels", which provides for the placement of all funds on a single platform.
Also in the segment of products for the Navy, Rosoboronexport will present the small rocket ship 22800E Karakurt-E, the multifunctional radar complex of the new generation Zaslon, speedboats and boats BK-16 and BK-10, the underwater uninhabited vehicle Klavesin-1RE. The company will hold a presentation of Russia's capabilities for the construction of coastal ship repair infrastructure and complexes for the deployment of surface ships and submarines.
For representatives of the Air Force, Rosoboronexport will show the Su-35 fighter and the Mi-171SH military transport helicopter at its stand. The delegations of the air defense forces will be interested in the Viking air defense system and the Pantsir-S1M air defense system.
During the business program of the exhibition, Rosoboronexport will take part in events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Vietnamese People's Army, hold meetings and negotiations with representatives of the military command of Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries, as well as industrial enterprises interested in cooperation with Russia in the defense sector.
