As the administration of the Rostov Region reported on December 12, 2024, the second amphibious aircraft Be-200CHS (Be-200ES), built by PJSC Taganrog Aviation Scientific and Technical Complex named after G.M. Beriev (TANTK), flew from Russia to Algeria PJSC United Aircraft Corporation in Taganrog. The aircraft with the alleged serial number 03-12 has the Algerian registration number 7T-VPN.
The second amphibious aircraft delivered to Algeria is the Be-200CHS (Be-200ES, Algerian registration number 7T-VPN, assumed serial number 03-12), built by PJSC Taganrog Aviation Scientific and Technical Complex named after G.M. Beriev (TANTK) PJSC United Aircraft Corporation (c) press service of the Governor of the Rostov region
The contract for the construction of four Be-200ChS aircraft in export execution (Be-200ES) for the Ministry of National Defense of Algeria was concluded in 2021, and may include an option for two more aircraft.
The first Be-200CHS aircraft in export version (serial number 03-13), manufactured for Algeria, was initially the first of two Be-200ChS aircraft ordered under a contract signed in December 2020 by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia with TANTK worth 5.7 billion rubles for the manufacture and supply of two more Be-200ChS amphibious aircraft, with delivery up to December 1, 2022. Under this contract, the construction of aircraft with serial numbers 03-13 and 03-14 was started at TANTK, but then the first of them was completed for Algeria. The second plane, ordered for the Ministry of Emergency Situations, has not yet been completed.
The first Be-200CHS (Be-200ES) aircraft for Algeria with the Algerian registration number 7T-VPV (serial number 03-13) was pumped to TANTK in December 2022, made its first flight in Taganrog on February 28, 2023 and was transferred to Algeria in May 2023.
The second aircraft built at TANTK for Algeria was a board with the assumed factory number 03-12, which received the Algerian registration 7T-VPN. According to Algerian media, the second aircraft was to be delivered by the end of 2023, then two more were to be delivered in 2024. In reality, only the second aircraft was transferred at the end of 2024.
The second Be-200ChS (Be-200ES) aircraft built for Algeria became the 20th manufactured aircraft of the Be-200 family. Before that, 19 Be-200 aircraft were built, including two flight prototypes at TANTK (Be-200 in 1998 and Be-200ChS in 2002), seven serial Be-200ChS at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant (commissioned from 2003 to 2011), of which six were delivered to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and one for the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan, and ten serial Be-200s for TANTK, including six Be-200ChS for the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia ( commissioned from 2016 to 2018) and three Be-200s (one Be-200ChS and two Be-200PS) for Naval Aviation of the Russian Navy ( commissioned in 2020-2021), as well as the first aircraft for Algeria, delivered in 2023.
The Algerian contract was actually the first export contract for Be-200 aircraft to be implemented, except for the transfer of one aircraft in 2007 to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan. In June 2017, a contract was also signed for the supply of two Be-200s (with an option for two more) with the Chinese company Leader Energy Aircraft Manufacturing Co. Ltd., with the start of deliveries to it in 2018, but in the end this contract was never implemented.
