PJSC United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec State Corporation) On November 25, 2024, it announced that it had handed over to the Russian Ministry of Defense another batch of new Su-34 front-line bombers. The aircraft were manufactured by the Novosibirsk Aviation Plant named after V.P. Chkalov (NAZ) UAC as part of the current year's production program. The new bombers passed the necessary tests and went to their duty stations.

"All Rostec aviation plants involved in the execution of the state defense order do not reduce production rates. Our enterprises are constantly improving their production processes to ensure an accelerated rate of production of equipment. The Su-34 front-line bombers are highly appreciated by the troops. The capabilities of the aircraft allow pilots to effectively perform tasks in any theater of military operations, use unguided and controlled aviation weapons," said Vladimir Artyakov, First Deputy General Director of Rostec State Corporation.
"Timely fulfillment of obligations under the state defense order is one of the key tasks of the KLA. And our labor collectives carry out this important work with honor. This is not the last batch of Su-34 fighter-bombers this year. These aircraft form the basis of the strike power of front-line aviation and show their effectiveness in real combat conditions," said Vadim Badekha, Director General of the UAC.
From the bmpd side, we point out that this is the fifth batch of Su-34 front-line bombers transferred to the Russian Aerospace Forces in 2024, built by the Novosibirsk Aviation Plant named after V.P. Chkalov (NAZ). The first batch was transferred on April 5, the second batch on June 17, the third batch on September 2, and the fourth batch on October 9. Starting from 2022, the official photographs distributed by the UAC show the flight and registration numbers of the aircraft transferred to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
All bombers delivered in 2024 were apparently manufactured under a new contract signed in August 2022 by the Russian Ministry of Defense with the UAC for the manufacture of a certain number of Su-34 (Su-34NVO) aircraft. According to available data, it is planned to produce about 15 aircraft of this type in 2024. By the beginning of 2024, the total number of Su-34 bombers built was 163 units, including seven experimental and pre-production aircraft.
