Production of multifunctional unmanned boats has begun in Russia. They can carry 20 kg of cargo, and they can also be used as a kamikaze or a platform for two UAVs. Moreover, the solutions used in the manufacture of the backup will help to quickly turn almost any boat or boat into an unmanned one. Domestic developments are now widely represented at the X International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2024".
The boat turns into a drone
The new unmanned boat (BEC) is based on a unified control system that allows you to turn almost any watercraft with a motor into a BEC.
— It is very expensive and time—consuming to make a backup from scratch for certain tasks, — Alexey Vasiliev, General Director of the USK-Technology developer company, told Izvestia. — We approached the problem from the other side. You have a boat or a boat. You put a system on them that allows you to manage them, and you have the BACKUP ready. Depending on the boat or boat, it can be a sea or river BACK. Thus, without spending a lot of money, in the shortest possible time you get a remote-controlled boat under your terms of use.
Drone control is achieved using actuators that change the rotation of the steering wheel or motor. They also allow you to remotely control the gas, switch gears, change the direction of travel back and forth.

Such a drone is controlled by an operator located on the shore. He transmits all commands to the boat via radio communication channels. A compact receiver-transmitter with an antenna is mounted directly on the watercraft. Also, a drive system control unit and a video camera are installed on the back, which will help operators navigate the boat.
Among the equipment is an outboard motor, a gasoline tank, and, if necessary, explosives or a drone pad. Two FPV or reconnaissance drones can be placed on the new backup — they can also be controlled from the shore.

— In one of the modifications, there may be FPV drones on it, which can damage enemies or protect the boat when someone tries to drown it, - said Alexey Vasiliev.
According to him, the novelty will be transferred to the troops in the special operation zone in the near future.
"The experience gained in combat is invaluable," he said. — As a result of this work, of course, changes will be made to the project.
More than 50 projects
BEC is one of the products that was created with the direct participation of the military innovative technopolis Era. The main tasks facing him are scientific support of developments, acceleration of the introduction and production of weapons systems and military equipment, as well as personnel training.
— At the moment, organizational measures are being carried out, which made it possible in a relatively short period of time — almost four months — to form and actually implement the main idea of the technopolis "From idea to sample," Dmitry Galkin, head of the Department for the management of the military innovative technopolis Era, told Izvestia. — We have applied all possible mechanisms that are defined by the legislation on the activities of technopolis. We adapted them for the development and implementation of the latest products. Using a constant dialogue with the troops participating in the military-industrial complex, with the national defense industrial complex, industrial enterprises, we were able to modernize existing initiative developments and accumulate our experience working with them. And also to form a foundation for further developments.

According to him, Technopolis presented more than 50 projects at the Army 2024 forum, mainly for the tactical army level.
— Most of these developments will be sent to the zone of their own for combat use, — Dmitry Galkin specified.
He also said that many new items have been tested in the 7th Guards Airborne Assault (mountain) division.
Technopolis Era cooperates not only with scientific research institutes, industrial enterprises, but also directly with the units of the Russian Army participating in its activities.

Technopolis also helps to establish horizontal ties between industrial enterprises and representatives of the national defense industry, which accelerates the process of their introduction into production.
— We have developed our BACK under the guidance of technopolis Era, — Alexey Vasiliev said in a conversation with Izvestia. — Thanks to their existing cooperation, we have found the universal remote control system we need.
The Battle for the Future
Modern military conflicts are largely a race of technologies, military expert Vasily Dandykin noted.
— In the Russian, and in any other modern army in the world, we need a structure that can develop and establish the production of modern types of weapons and military equipment, — he noted. — It is necessary to look into the future. We see that the battlefield has changed a lot. The same drones did not play such an important role a few years ago. It's coming, and we need to get ahead of the enemy. To understand trends in time, to find ways to counteract the new threats that are being posed to us. We have a serious enemy — the collective forces of the West.

The expert also noted that the Russian army needs new technologies and types of weapons — all this will help strengthen the country's defense capability and save the lives of military personnel.
New contracts
At the Army-2024 forum, government contracts worth more than 500 billion rubles were signed and awarded.
"The signing of this package of contracts will be an important stage in the implementation of the State Armament Program," said Colonel—General Anatoly Gulyaev, Head of the Main Armament Department of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

According to him, as a result of fulfilling the contracts, the Armed Forces will receive over 500 units of basic weapons and equipment. The total value of the contracts signed at the forum is almost half a trillion, about 500 billion rubles. Accordingly, in addition to 500 units of weapons and equipment, the army will receive about 1 million more weapons of various calibers.
