For the first time, the exposition "People's Military Industrial Complex" is presented at the exhibition
The X International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2024" has started in Kubinka near Moscow, its format has been updated taking into account the specifics of the current situation in the country. Domestic manufacturers presented the latest developments at open sites. For the first time, the "People's Military Industrial Complex" was allocated to a separate exposition. The forum is attended by delegations from 83 countries, and more than 120 foreign companies are represented. The national expositions of defense industry enterprises were formed by Belarus, India, Iran and China. The events will take place over three days.
The updated program of the Army-2024 Forum
The format of the event has been updated and optimized this year — the program is built with an emphasis on business character, specialized specialists and the fulfillment of ITS tasks (and not on a mass audience, as in previous years). The participants were the military of the Russian Ministry of Defense, heads and designers of the defense industry, private enterprises, as well as delegations from foreign countries.

As the organizers told Izvestia, more than 1 thousand domestic and foreign companies and organizations arrived at the forum, they presented 20 thousand military and dual-use samples. Within the framework of Army 2024, 70 round tables, 15 conferences, and nine meetings are provided. Special attention is paid to the development of UAVs and artificial intelligence technologies. 226 Russian military experts from 26 military authorities will select the presented innovative solutions for further implementation in the interests of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
As Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov announced during the opening ceremony of the forum, this year the programs are focused on a focused discussion of the experience of the military and new methods of warfare. He called the special military operation an armed confrontation between Russia and the collective West. And he outlined four conditions for achieving our success.

— The first is to provide the troops with the most modern weapons, first of all, high—precision ones, — Belousov noted. — The second is the use of new tactical methods of warfare, including the use of unmanned systems and robotic complexes. The third is the creation of an effective management system using an advanced technological framework, including artificial intelligence. The fourth is the continuous improvement of the training of military personnel, mainly the command staff.
Belousov stressed that the work of the forum will be built around these four components during all three days.
What was shown at the Army 2024 exhibition
There are dozens of samples among the presented military equipment. For example, the 2024 Pantsir—SMD air defense system, aimed at combating both missiles and enemy UAVs (at the same time, special emphasis is placed on drones). Its difference from the previous model is a smaller size, but increased fourfold ammunition — 48 shells of different calibers. As well as the possibility of remote control: the operator can work from a distance of up to 500 meters while in hiding. The new air defense system may enter the zone of a special military operation as early as this year.

The B-10 armored personnel carrier has also not yet been put into service, it is only undergoing testing. Outwardly more similar to the BMP than to the classic BTR-80, it has a completely different level of protection than the previous model: however, the developers have not yet disclosed the parameters. The protection of the bottom has also been strengthened at times in case of a mine explosion, which can save the crew. The entrance to the landing compartment is located not on the side, as on the classic BTR-80, but in the tail, which also increases the chances of survival of the fighters (and the entrance itself has become much wider). The chairs inside are now suspended from the ceiling, rather than bolted to the floor, which again gives an additional head start in case of an explosion.
The armored repair and evacuation vehicle - BRAM 1-M (weight — 44 tons) is designed primarily for transporting undermined armored vehicles from the battlefield. The features of the sample are a mechanized coupling device, so that the crew can tow damaged equipment without going outside. Plus — reinforced armor, smoke screen, electronic warfare system. An even more advanced machine is the T—16 BRAM: its task is to tow heavy Armata tanks, the weight of the tow truck is 57 tons.

The radiation and chemical-biological protection systems presented at the forum are based on UAZ, Tiger, and BTR-80 vehicles. Their purpose is to determine the level of environmental pollution after the use of weapons of mass destruction or radiation accidents. The equipment is equipped with powerful measuring instruments capable of probing the background over large areas (60 sq. km in 1 hour), as well as means of fire damage if you need to engage in battle. It is noteworthy that such machines are currently serving in the Zaporozhye region next to the NPP.
By water and off-road
The products of the "people's military industrial complex" deserve special attention — military developments created on the private initiative of enterprises, volunteers, with the financial support of caring citizens from all over the country. More than 250 such samples from 100 companies were brought to the forum.
Among such equipment is the unmanned boat "Murena—300", designed by the company "Pribor" LLC in the Tula region. It is capable of reaching speeds of up to 30 knots (approximately 55 km/h), can transport and deliver cargo to the right points — ammunition, food, water, weighing up to 500 kg. And also perform the role of a kamikaze — to hit obstacles on the water, bridges or enemy ships. The boat is controlled remotely. He passed the tests in combat conditions — on the Dnieper River in the Kherson region.

The Rescuer — Max tracked platform is manufactured in Moscow. It can be used both for transporting the wounded — special stretchers are attached to the platform, a person is placed on top, and through any off-road, day and night, he takes them to his own, to the rear. So it is for the transportation of any goods — to the same cutting edge. Or — an interesting solution — as a platform for drones: drones (up to 8-10 units) are mounted in special sockets and sent remotely to the desired point from where they are launched. The battery of the "Lifeguard" is capable of holding a charge for up to 32 hours.

These and other solutions will be evaluated by experts in the near future. Successful samples with state support will be produced on an industrial scale by order of the Ministry of Defense.
