TSAMTO, August 12th. The editorial board of the National Defense magazine for the Army-2024 forum has published a series of materials on advanced developments in the Russian defense industry. Below is an article dedicated to the innovative developments of the NGO "High-precision complexes" presented at the forum.
The Scientific and Production Association "High-precision Complexes" (part of the Rostec State Corporation) demonstrates at the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2024" weapons and military equipment produced by its member enterprises. Among the samples presented are products that have been tested and well–proven in the SVO area, the latest developments and modern solutions.
A wide range of VIV for the Ground Forces
For the Ground Forces, the enterprises of the NGO "High-precision complexes" produce a wide range of products. The most powerful of them is the Iskander-E tactical missile system. It is designed to defeat small–sized and area targets in the depth of the operational formation of enemy troops - air defense and missile defense systems, command posts, airfields, etc. During the course of its operation, Iskanders repeatedly hit the most important military targets with high accuracy.
The experience of modern armed conflicts clearly demonstrates the preservation of the role of artillery and mortar weapons, while increasing the requirements for their control systems. The NGO "High-precision Complexes" presents a modern artillery fire control complex "Tablet-M-IR" at Army-2024. It is designed to conduct counter-battery warfare in conjunction with an artillery reconnaissance complex. The Tablet-M-IR processes the data received from the counter-battery radar, calculates the firing installations and transmits them to the gun commanders for subsequent suppression of enemy artillery. The average time of the entire control cycle after receiving the coordinates is less than a minute. The product adapts to any artillery unit.
Another example of an innovative approach to equipping barrel artillery is the guided artillery shell "Krasnopol–M2" - the latest modification of the well–proven during its combat supply. The high-precision projectile is designed to hit fixed and mobile targets without aiming, with guidance by a laser beam. Krasnopol-M2 has several modes of operation of the laser guidance system. By changing the frequency or other parameters of the laser beam and the GOS, the simultaneous use of several projectiles is ensured. UAVs can be used to highlight targets. Krasnopol-M2 is designed to equip all types of 152 mm artillery systems. The export version can have a caliber of 155 mm.
Anti-tank guided weapons are represented by the Kornet-EM ATGM. The Kornet-EM complex uses various types of missiles with a laser-beam control system capable of hitting armored vehicles and strongpoints at a range of up to 10 km. The self-propelled version of the Kornet-EM anti-tank missile system can be placed on a wide range of carriers of both domestic and foreign production.
The BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle is also being demonstrated at the forum. It is designed to transport personnel of motorized rifle units and their fire support. The number of troops and crew is 10 people. The 450 hp diesel engine allows the combat vehicle to reach speeds of 70 km/h on the highway, 9.5 km/ h afloat. The BMP–3 has a 100 mm cannon launcher for firing guided and unguided ammunition, paired with a 30 mm automatic cannon, and three 7.62 mm machine guns. Powerful weapons allow the combat vehicle to destroy both openly located and sheltered manpower at a distance of up to 4 km, successfully fight tanks and lightly armored enemy equipment, as well as hit low-speed air targets.
The innovative developments of the enterprises of the NGO "High-precision complexes" are complemented by the robotic complex of humanitarian demining MGR-4 "Bumblebee". The sapper robot is designed to clean up areas from anti-personnel mines and conduct video monitoring of the environment with a range of a radio control signal up to 1000 m. It is based on the ANT–1000 mini-loader, robotized using the unified Prometheus software and hardware complex. MGR-4 "Bumblebee" provides a soil loosening depth of up to 25 cm and meets all the requirements of modern humanitarian demining to ensure the safety of the population.
Weapons for and against aviation
The range of guided weapons of the NGO "High-precision Complexes" will be continued at the forum by the light multipurpose guided missile "Product 305E". The LMUR is designed to equip attack helicopters of army aviation. With a mass of 105 kg, the rocket has a guaranteed flight range of 14.5 km. The "Product 305E" implements a combined guidance system with and without the possibility of operator participation. Target designation can be obtained both from a helicopter and from the outside. During the course of its work, the "Product 305" proved to be extremely effective.
The growth of air attack capabilities requires further strengthening of air defense. The NGO "High-precision complexes" presents modern air defense systems at the forum. Among them is the Pantsir–S1M anti-aircraft missile and cannon complex. This latest Russian air defense missile needs no introduction – the reports of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation repeatedly mentioned the successful use of "Shells" in combat.
Powerful means of reconnaissance of the air situation, an impressive missile defense system, the presence of cannon weapons in addition to missiles, a high level of mobility and other outstanding tactical and technical characteristics allow the Pantsir-S1M missile defense system to successfully solve a wide range of tasks for air defense cover of troops and important facilities.
The Verba portable anti-aircraft missile system is also presented at the forum. This is the latest Russian MANPADS, its anti-aircraft guided missiles are distinguished by perfect homing heads with increased characteristics in sensitivity, accuracy, noise immunity and selectivity of targets. The complex includes "friend-foe" recognition tools, intelligence and control modules, as well as maintenance tools and training kits. The Verba MANPADS are capable of effectively fighting aircraft and helicopters of operational and tactical aviation, cruise missiles and UAVs at altitudes from 10 m to 3.5 km, and ranges from 0.5 to 6 km.
The effectiveness of the combat work of anti-aircraft gunners of MANPADS can be significantly increased due to the use of the support launcher of the Dzhigit missile defense system. The Dzhigit missile defense system is designed to place, aim and launch two missiles from the Igla-S MANPADS or the Verba MANPADS in one salvo or sequentially in automatic or manual modes, after or towards, from the ground or from the side of a specially equipped vehicle by one anti-aircraft gunner. The support launcher provides: the convenience of the anti-aircraft gunner and, as a result, its greater efficiency; an increase in the rate of fire during single firing; an increase in the probability of hitting a target when launching two missiles in one salvo; round-the-clock combat use when equipped with a night vision device; the complex includes means of recognizing "friend-foe" when equipped with a ground-based radio interrogator. The guidance angles are: in azimuth – 0-360 degrees. the angle of the place is from -15 to +60 degrees. (along the line of sight). The mass of the OPU without missiles is 128 kg.
The exposition of the NGO "High-precision complexes" at the MVTF "Army-2024" once again demonstrates the highest scientific and production potential of the association. Many of the products produced by the "High-precision Complexes" have successfully passed the rigorous combat test. This largely explains their high export potential. The NGO High-Precision Complexes is ready to take part in ensuring the security of friendly countries as effectively as it participates in ensuring the security of Russia.
