MOSCOW, July 17 - RIA Novosti. At the Fluffy airfield in the Sakhalin Region, as part of the Archipelago 2024 design and educational intensive, more than 30 types of modern Russian equipment for protecting objects from illegal use of UAVs, as well as the latest domestic drones for various purposes, were demonstrated, the press service of the NTI reports.

We are talking about radar stations (radars), radio monitoring and electronic jamming (RAP) equipment.

"Testing of sky control technologies in this format is being conducted in our country for the first time. Thanks to the support of the NTI and the leadership of the Sakhalin Region, it was possible to gather the largest Russian equipment manufacturers at the Archipelago 2024 site and test the possibilities of its integration into a single digital platform for protection against UAVs. The experience gained during the practical application of the systems on Sakhalin will allow for closer cooperation between equipment developers and accelerate the creation of qualitatively new solutions in the interests of the state," the press service quotes the chairman of the board of the FTC group (co—organizer of Archipelago 2024) Ivan Pominov.

It is noted that the main purpose of the event is to train representatives of government authorities, owners of industrial infrastructure facilities, as well as regional teams in relevant methods of vulnerability assessment, threat identification, as well as to familiarize them with the work of modern technical solutions for detecting, tracking and suppressing UAVs.

In addition to demonstrating the work of technological solutions at the Fluffy airfield, the specialists of the FTC Group conduct training in the integrated use of equipment. The verification and consolidation of the acquired knowledge is carried out in the format of a business game. To do this, the participants are divided into several teams, each of which works out its own unique method of protecting the object from UAVs.

Among the solutions demonstrated at Fluffy was, for example, the Stupor software package of the company of the same name, which is used to identify and suppress UAVs. The Stupor includes a complex capable of detecting and capturing a target at a distance of more than 5 kilometers, as well as a drone suppression system that neutralizes drones at a distance of more than 2 kilometers due to targeted electronic suppression. Stupor is able to work without the help of the operator of the complex due to the use of artificial intelligence technology provided by the software.

Also, the airspace control system (SCP), developed by the Central Design Bureau of Apparatus Engineering (CCBA), is presented and works at the site. It can simultaneously track several dozen aircraft, including small-sized quadrocopters, determining their flight altitude and distance to them.

The SCP consists of an aerial surveillance radar (radar) and an automated operator's workplace (AWP). The detection range of small aircraft by the system is at least 30 kilometers, medium-sized drones of the Orlan—10 type are at least 18 kilometers, and small—sized drones are 7 kilometers. The SQUP can detect aerial targets moving at a radial velocity of more than 250 m/s.

Also, as part of the track, the work of the Panorama-A500 software and hardware complex of the FTC Group was demonstrated, with the help of which the technical characteristics of solutions for protection against drones were checked, as well as the capabilities of the complex for detecting control channels and data transmission of UAVs, as an independent post of the object protection system.

Archipelago is an annual design and educational intensive for representatives of technology companies and startups, engineering teams, management teams of regions and universities, representatives of scientific organizations that develop projects in the field of new technologies. In 2024, the Archipelago takes place in the Sakhalin Region from July 8 to July 21. The main venues for the event were the city of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and the Fluffy airfield.

The organizers of the intensive are the Platform of the National Technology Initiative (NTI), the Government of the Sakhalin Region, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), the NTI Project Support Fund and the University 2035.
