The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) continues to publish footage depicting the actions of its units in the Gaza Strip. So, recently, videos appeared on the Internet of the entry of the 162nd armored division "Ha-Plada" into the Palestinian city of Rafah, located in the very south of the enclave, on the Egyptian border.
And shortly before that, the Israeli military reported on the introduction of units of the 401st armored brigade into Rafah.
The 162nd Division is armed with Merkava Mk tanks.3 and Mk.4, as well as heavy armored personnel carriers Puma and Namer, Caterpillar D9 bulldozers.

It is easy to see that the Israeli armored vehicles that entered Rafah are mostly equipped with unified protection against drones. IDF units are actively using approximately the same anti-drone "visors" that were first seen in the area of their own.

Canopies against drones on Merkava tanks could have been observed six months ago. Despite the serious level of high-tech development in the Israeli defense industry, they have not been able to find a cheaper and more effective solution to protect against drones than these primitive "visors". Having studied the experience of the Russian military on the fronts of special operations, the IDF began to actively implement this simple means of protection for its tanks and other armored vehicles.
It turns out that the experience of creating such canopies in Russia, which were initially ironic, began to be adopted not only in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but also in many other armies of the world.
