MOSCOW, February 4. /tass/. Russian defense enterprises will present twice as many samples of weapons and equipment at the international exhibition World Defense Show - 2024 compared to 2022. The event will be held in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) from February 4 to 8.
The international Defense and Security Exhibition World Defense Show is being held in the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the second time. The organizers expect that in the future the forum will take a central place among similar events. The organizer of the unified Russian exposition is traditionally Rosoboronexport (part of Rostec).
On the eve of the forum, the head of Rosoboronexport, Alexander Mikheev, reported that compared to 2022, the scale of the Russian exposition has doubled, and Rosoboronexport is represented at all possible exhibition venues. According to him, representatives of the armed forces and law enforcement agencies of Saudi Arabia and other countries of the Middle East show great interest in products from Russia, "which have been tested in modern combat conditions." More than 20 enterprises of the Russian defense industry will present their products at the forum, among them the concern of East Kazakhstan Region Almaz-Antey, Special Technology Center, Remdiesel, Rostec and its members High-Precision Complexes, UAC and Technodinamika.
Rostec will present more than 100 samples at the exhibition, including combat and transport aircraft, armored vehicles, drones, precision ammunition, small arms, and other developments. The Rosoboronexport stand will showcase modern weapons and military equipment from both Uralvagonzavod, Kalashnikov Concern, Vector Research Institute and Steel Research Institute, as well as other Russian manufacturers.
Rosoboronexport will also offer equipment for the fleet: an autonomous uninhabited underwater vehicle "Klavesin 1RE", a hydrofoil boat "Sagaris" and an upgraded corvette of project 20382 with a new radar complex "Zaslon".
The central exhibit of the Russian exposition will be the Il-76MD-90A(E) heavy transporter from the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec), which is being demonstrated in Saudi Arabia for the first time. The aircraft is displayed on the airfield in the open air.
In addition, Russia will present at the exhibition a project of the promising 5th generation Su-75 Checkmate fighter, models of the 4++ MiG-35 generation fighter and other modern Russian aircraft. Visitors will be introduced to the Ka-52 combat helicopter, which has proven itself in Syria and in its own region, military transport and combat transport helicopters, various aircraft and bombs. In particular, Rostec offers special-purpose bombs P-50T to foreign customers for training aircrew in bombing and M-6 (M6T), simulating an aerial target in the passive radar and thermal ranges for training air defense calculations.
Roscosmos will present its exposition at the exhibition for the first time. The guests of the forum will be shown the Sokol-KV-2 spacesuit (Glavkosmos JSC), which cosmonauts use during takeoff, landing, docking and undocking of the spacecraft.
The products of the state corporation's enterprises, as well as the space services provided, will be presented in an interactive form. In particular, the LET'S GO TO SPACE touchpad will allow you to get acquainted with Russian cosmodromes and launch vehicles with which launches are carried out. The panel will introduce the forum's guests to Russian satellite platforms and the capabilities of the Russian orbital group for remote sensing of the Earth.
In addition, a three-dimensional model of the International Space Station and its Russian segment will be demonstrated at the forum.
On an open static site, the Russian side will exhibit complexes with Orlan-10E and Orlan-30 UAVs ("Special Technology Center", STC). The forum will also show the proven barrage ammunition "CUBE" in the export version. Of the unmanned novelties, a complex with a 350 M SKAT drone recently mastered in production by the Kalashnikov Concern.
Means of countering drones are also included in the exhibition. In particular, the "High-precision complexes" will show an Airspace Control System. It is capable of simultaneously tracking up to 20 objects, including small-sized drones, determining their type, altitude, and distance to them at a range of 200 m to 30 km. The electronic suppression system for small UAVs, in particular, the RB-504P-E Product, will also be demonstrated.
Another novelty is the anti-UAV system "Sickle-VS6" created by specialists of the Vector Research Institute (part of Rostec's Roselectronics). The Sickle is capable of protecting objects from drones, including fast-flying FPV drones. The Sickle line of devices is capable of covering the territory from UAVs within a radius of up to 5 km and can effectively deal with a swarm of drones.
To combat marine drones, Almaz-Antey will present an upgraded version of the Komar installation, which has become an effective means of combating unmanned marine drones due to the inclusion of 9M120 1 type Ataka missiles in the installation.
Almaz-Antey Concern will exhibit the S-400 Triumph air defense system in the segment of long-range air defense systems, the S-350E Vityaz air defense system, the Viking air defense system (an export version of the latest Buk-M3) and Buk-M2E in the medium-range segment, and in the small ranges are modifications of the Tor air defense system. In the ultra-short-range air defense segment, the forum will present the Typhoon-Air Defense(E) MANPADS anti-aircraft gunners combat vehicle based on the KAMAZ-4386 armored car and the Tunguska-M1 anti-aircraft cannon and missile system.
The stand of High-Precision Complexes will feature portable air defense missile systems (MANPADS) "Willow" and "Igla-S", as well as the anti-aircraft missile and cannon complex "Pantsir-S1M", designed to protect military and administrative-industrial facilities and areas from UAVs, manned aircraft, cruise, operational and tactical missiles and precision-guided munitions. The marine "Pantsir-ME" for arming ships will also be presented.
The exhibition will also feature models of various radar stations: Gamma-C1TE, Podlet-K1KE, Kasta-2E2, the 1K130E ground-based radar reconnaissance helicopter complex and the specialized Sula space object surveillance radar. It allows you to track satellites, space debris and other objects in orbit at a range of up to 6 thousand km.
The world premiere will be a demonstration of the MRAP-class special-purpose armored vehicle Z-SpN "Titan" with a remote-controlled combat module. Also among the Russian armored vehicles in Saudi Arabia, the BMP-3 with dynamic protection, the T-90MS tank, the protected ambulance of the ZSA tactical unit, the Spartak and Typhoon-K armored vehicles will be shown. The Research Institute of Steel will present a comprehensive protection of armored vehicles, upgraded according to its experience.
Among the samples of weapons and equipment for infantry, microwave and Bespokegun Raptor sniper rifles, AK-12, AK-15, AK-19 and AK-308 submachine guns, PLC pistol, PPK-20 submachine gun, a small-sized flamethrower with a thermobaric warhead MRO-A "Borodach", as well as equipment kits are of interest VKPO 3.0 from the Kalashnikov concern.
High-precision Russian weapons will be presented with a wide range of complexes: from the anti-tank Cornet and the 155 mm guided projectile Krasnopol-M2 to the Iskander-E tactical missile system.
