TSAMTO, November 21. On November 21, a regular meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation was held in Moscow under the leadership of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Sergei Shoigu.
In the thematic part of the Board meeting, the progress of the implementation of the activity plan of the Main Command of the Navy for 2019-2025 was discussed.

As it was noted at the Board, since 2018, more than 130 ships, combat boats and support vessels have joined the fleet and the Caspian Flotilla.
Particular attention is paid to the buildup of naval strategic nuclear forces. Three of the newest nuclear-powered submarines of the Borey-A project have already entered the combat fleet of the Navy. The state tests of the strategic missile submarine "Emperor Alexander III", intended for the Pacific Fleet, are coming to an end. The share of modern ships in the nuclear triad has reached 100%.
In addition, this year the submarine forces will be replenished with three modern multipurpose submarines with Kalibr missile systems at once.
An equally important task is the construction of multi-purpose ships with high-precision missile systems designed to destroy critical infrastructure facilities and naval targets, including aircraft carriers and naval strike groups.
"The Admiral Golovko frigate, which is planned to be equipped with Zircon hypersonic missiles, is currently undergoing state tests. The number of carriers of high–precision long-range weapons by the end of the year will exceed more than 40 units," the Russian Defense Minister said.
He also noted that modern missile weapons proved to be highly effective during a special military operation.
"More than 270 missile strikes have been carried out, more than 330 objects have been hit. This year, the supply of missiles in the interests of groups of troops has been increased more than three times," the head of the military department said.
The construction of ships of the near sea zone continues. Their composition was supplemented by two multipurpose corvettes and a small rocket ship. By the end of the year, it is planned to receive three more small missile ships and a mine-fighting ship.
The complex of strategic deterrence measures in the Baltic and North Seas "Ocean Shield-2023" has been completed. The tasks of detecting and tracking the ships of a conditional enemy have been worked out, practical rocket and artillery firing has been carried out.
The Russian ships performed combat service tasks to deter NATO Naval forces in the World Ocean. In 2023, more than 50 hikes were made, more than two hundred thousand nautical miles were covered.
During the exercise "Finval-2023", the use of heterogeneous forces of the Pacific Fleet to protect the waters of the Northern Sea Route was worked out.
The practice of patrolling operationally important areas of the World Ocean together with ships of foreign states has continued. In April, a joint patrol was conducted with the Iranian naval forces, and in the period from July to August - with the Chinese Naval Forces. Elements of maneuvering, control and interaction have been worked out.
As the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation noted, the intensity of combat training of fleets has increased 1.2 times this year.
"The work on reassigning the fleets and the Caspian Flotilla directly to the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy is being completed. This will make it possible to manage the fleet and fleets more effectively, to introduce unified approaches to planning the use and training of naval groups in modern conditions," Sergei Shoigu said.
The implementation of the Activity Plan of the Main Command of the Navy this year has allowed to increase the combat capabilities of the fleets and the Caspian Flotilla, to bring the level of modern military and special equipment to 74%.
