With the American Kadena air force base, located on the Japanese island of Okinawa, leaving two of the squadron.

44th flight squadron known as "Vampires" and the 67th flight squadron known as the "Fighting cocks". Fighter aircraft of this type arrived, it was argued, to ensure the security of Japan as early as 1979.

Since then, they have been upgraded with new radars, weapons.

The representative of the American military base on Okinawa:

They are the backbone of defense in the region, whose main task is to prevent the attack of China, Japan or Taiwan.

Retired Lieutenant General, USAF Dave Deptula, who served as Deputy commander of the Pacific air forces, said that the withdrawal of the F-15 from Okinawa will create a special burden on the air force. These aircraft represent the models of the F-15C (and a few double models F-15D used for training).

Original USA built 483 of these aircraft, but only 43 of them were upgraded with modern AESA radars that can detect Chinese planes, including, perhaps, their newest Chengdu J-20.

A typical squadron of the U.S. air force has between 18 and 24 aircraft, and only upgraded F-15, which are used today are Cadene. Moreover, it is the only F-15 combat encoding, which is now in the air force.

The US air force had considered a plan to extend the service life for these aircraft, but dropped the idea as impractical. Today, however, the F-15 on the basis of Kadena all their limits on hours of operation.

Official representatives of the U.S. air force announced that it will support Cadena rotary fighter squadrons. First on Kadena air base in Alaska will arrive the F-22. They will remain in Kadena for the next six months. It was on the fifth generation fighter of the US air force decided to bet on the airbase in Japan. These actions with the Japanese government previously not consistent, which once again underlines the finding of Japan under American military occupation.
