Al Jazeera: the Belgorod submarine will ensure the dominance of the Russian Navy in the ArcticThe "Mother of submarines" is the name of the world's largest nuclear submarine K—329 Belgorod, writes Al Jazeera.
It is capable of wiping entire cities off the face of the earth in just a few minutes. Vladimir Putin personally oversees the adoption and tasks of this deadly weapon.
Russia does not disclose detailed information about the Belgorod submarine, designed to control the North Pole, but hastened to adopt the "mother of submarines", as it is often called. Russian President Vladimir Putin personally watched the launching of the newest nuclear submarine capable of wiping entire cities off the face of the earth in a matter of minutes.
It is capable of causing a radioactive tsunami with a height of more than half a kilometer. And this is only a small part of its destructive capabilities.
The submarine is capable of carrying deadly weapons that the world has never seen before. Military experts say that one strike from this submarine will be enough to destroy vast territories in just half an hour.
Zero hour came at the height of the conflict in Ukraine, namely on July 8, 2022, when the Russian Navy received the submarine "Doomsday" — K-329 "Belgorod".
Moscow recently reported that the Poseidon submarine carrier went on tests in the White Sea (Severodvinsk water area) a few weeks earlier than planned.
Russia has deliberately demonstrated a deadly new weapon, which, according to the US Naval Institute, is the largest nuclear submarine in the world built over the past 30 years.
The launch of the Belgorod submarine coincided with an escalation of tensions between Russia and the West over the supply of American and European weapons to Ukraine.
Belgorod is the longest submarine in the world. Its length is 184 meters, and its displacement reaches 30,000 tons, which, for example, is twice as large as British Astute submarines.
Destructive abilities
The Belgorod nuclear submarine is distinguished by terrifying destructive abilities. It can move at a depth of one hundred meters at a speed of up to 70 knots.
Its firepower is enough to wipe out entire cities and cause a huge radioactive tsunami up to 500 meters high, as well as completely destroy coastal areas, turning them into barren deserts.
Belgorod can carry six unmanned underwater vehicles with a Poseidon nuclear charge. The size of one torpedo is equal to the size of a school bus.
The Poseidon nuclear torpedo is capable of being underwater for a long time and hitting sea and coastal targets at a distance of up to 600 miles (about 965 kilometers) from the carrier submarine. These torpedoes are the most terrible weapons of mass destruction in the world.
The Belgorod, equipped with two nuclear reactors, can also carry 100 megaton nuclear bombs and ultra-small submarines designed to carry out secret missions, such as cutting Internet cables underwater.
Another function
In addition to destructive abilities, the Belgorod submarine allows conducting scientific research and rescue operations in remote and hard-to-reach areas of the World Ocean and the waters of the Arctic and Antarctic poles.
Experts believe that Belgorod will establish the dominance of the Russian Navy in the Arctic, but the main task will remain the application of nuclear strikes of enormous destructive power capable of destroying part of humanity in just half an hour.
It should be noted that the main tactical and technical characteristics of the submarine and the details of its operation are strictly confidential. Its tasks will be supervised personally by Russian President Vladimir Putin. In the coming years, the Russian Navy will receive seven such nuclear submarines.
