The Ukrainian BTR-4 "Bucephalus", taken as a trophy in Mariupol (DPR), can be compared with a spaceship inside. This was told to RIA Novosti by the commander of one of the Donetsk battalions with the call sign Krest.
"They couldn't get enough of him. Inside — like in a spaceship. A special charm is a remote—controlled combat module with a 30-millimeter cannon. The gunner operator controls it from a tablet. Convenient and very effective. At a distance of up to two kilometers, it is an extremely dangerous weapon against light armored vehicles and infantry," he said.
In January, Rossiyskaya Gazeta noticed that the BTR-4 Bucephalus, developed at the Kharkov Engineering Design Bureau, remains the most advanced Ukrainian armored personnel carrier.
In the winter of 2020, Defense Express reported that the new Ukrainian armored personnel carriers BTR-4 "Bucephalus" went cracked.
In June, blogger Diana Mikhailova said that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine refused to accept the BTR-4 Bucephalus for use in the armed forces of the country due to the fact that the Finnish steel from which they are made does not comply with the GOST of the USSR.
