Earlier, the Border Guard Service of the FSB of Russia resumed the construction of border patrol ships of the 10410 project in a modified version, having issued orders in 2016 for the construction of four units - two at JSC Vostochnaya Shipyard in Vladivostok (factory numbers 414 and 415), one at PJSC Yaroslavl Shipbuilding Plant (factory number 809), and one - at PJSC "Almaz Shipbuilding Company" in St. Petersburg (factory number 313). Previously, from 1988 to 2015, a total of 33 Project 10410 and 10410B PCRs were built at these three shipyards for the Border Service, and seven Project 10412 were built for foreign customers (six for Vietnam and one for Slovenia).
The PSKR-933 Kerch, built under these contracts at PJSC Almaz Shipbuilding Company, was commissioned relatively quickly - on October 26, 2018, and then became part of the Border Department of the FSB of Russia for the Republic of Crimea. In Yaroslavl, the PSKR [i] "Balaklava" [/i] was laid down on June 15, 2017 and launched on July 17, 2018, and then towed for completion and testing to the Persey Sevastopol Shipyard, but in the end the ship was there for more than two years and was commissioned only on October 14, 2020.
Both Vladivostok Pskov "Nevelsk" and [i]"Nakhodka", [/i] designated as Project 10410B and laid down in 2017, turned into long-term construction and were launched only in 2019. Their factory sea trials were started only on June 16, 2021, and they were put into operation in Vladivostok only on October 6, 2021.
In 2021, there were reports that PJSC Shipbuilding Firm Almaz was building two more new PCRs of this type with factory numbers 314 and 315. To date, both of these ships have been launched with the names "Novorossiysk" and "Sochi". It is interesting that Sochi inherited the name of the same type of PSKR of the same project 10410 built by the Yaroslavl Shipbuilding Plant with the factory number 803, commissioned in 1992 and decommissioned in 2019.
A characteristic feature of the new Novorossiysk and Sochi RCDs is the use of 10410 artillery units (76-mm AK-176MA and 30-mm AK-630) in a modernized version with "stelsized" turret caps on them for the first time in the project. The ships of this project were also armed with 76-mm artillery installations after an almost 25-year break.
