INTERFAX-SOUTH - Tankers and gunners of the motorized rifle unit of the 49th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District took part in a bilateral exercise at the Nikolo-Alexandrovsky training ground in the Stavropol Territory, the press service of the Southern Military District reports.
"The gunners inflicted fire damage using 152-mm Msta-S howitzers, Tornado-G multiple rocket launchers, as well as T-72B3 tanks. Tank crews destroyed targets both from camouflaged positions from the spot and in motion from short stops at a distance of up to 4 km," the report says.
It is noted that in real time, the coordinates of the detected targets were transmitted to the artillery control point from the Sagittarius intelligence, control and communication complexes, as well as from quadcopter-type drones.
In addition, in cooperation with the gunners and tankers, the tasks were carried out by scouts, signalmen and UAV calculations.
