Northrop Grumman Corporation has begun construction of the sixth B-21 Raider aircraft
Air Force (Air Force) The United States has confirmed that the American military industrial corporation Northrop Grumman at the California plant in Palmdale has begun construction of the sixth strategic bomber B-21 Raider, considered the "coolest" aircraft in the world, says The Drive.
It is noted that the software designed to support the aircraft's fuel system has already been tested in a digital environment. The publication writes that the program, thanks to the digitalization of the B-21 Raider, is exemplary in terms of its cost and compliance with the stated work schedule.
Construction of the sixth aircraft began a few weeks ago. The Drive admits that the first flight model of a strategic bomber can take to the air already this year.
In December 2021, the publication 19FortyFive noticed that the B-21 Raider could be used against Russia.
In September of the same year, US Secretary of the Air Force Frank Kendall announced that five strategic stealth B-21 Raider bombers were being built at the Northrop Grumman plant in Palmdale, California.
In May 2021, The Drive reported that Kendall supported the Pentagon's acquisition of 145 B-21 Raider units.
