ROSTOV-ON-DON, February 8. /tass/. Military personnel of the Southern Military District (SE) will take part in more than 30 bilateral company tactical exercises in the coming weeks, which began at 15 training grounds in the south of Russia, the press service of the district reported on Tuesday.
The exercises are held in the Volgograd Region, Stavropol Territory, Adygea, Chechnya, Dagestan, Karachay-Cherkessia, North Ossetia, Ingushetia, at Russian military bases in Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Each of the exercises involves about 400 military personnel and about 80 units of military and special equipment. T-72B3 tanks, infantry fighting vehicles BMP-3, armored personnel carriers BTR-82A, anti-tank missile systems "Kornet" and "Chrysanthemum-S", various artillery installations will be involved.
"More than 30 bilateral company tactical exercises in the Southern Military District troops will be held in the next three weeks. The tactical exercises involve reinforced companies of battalion tactical groups of combined arms armies, the Caspian Flotilla and the army Corps of the Southern Military District. The military personnel will perform combat training tasks at 15 combined-arms ranges of the Southern Military District," the message says.
