Ground combat robots are being improved. Yesterday, on February 4, the American company Northrop Grumman on its official YouTube channel published a video of tests of an unmanned combat vehicle with cannon armament.
The video shows the firing of the XM813 Chain Gun of 30×173mm caliber, placed on the EMAV-MCA robotic platform manufactured by Pratt Miller Defense. Test shots were carried out with armor-piercing shells, as well as air-detonated ammunition. At the same time, Northrop Grumman indicates that the caliber of the gun can be increased to 40 × 180 mm.

Northrop Grumman does not indicate whether their joint development with Pratt Miller Defense is an ordinary technology demonstrator or is intended for participation in tenders. The XM813 gun is also used on the prototype of the RIPSAW M5 robot, as well as in the Stryker APC - both versions use a 30-mm version of the gun.
