TSAMTO, February 2. Specialists of the RCB protection troops of the Yelninsky Motorized Rifle Division of the Western Military District (ZVO) received a batch of reconnaissance chemical vehicles RHM-6.
"The new technology significantly exceeds the capabilities of the previous samples. By the middle of the year, we will fully complete the re-equipment of the district's RCB protection unit with new RHM-6 vehicles," said Colonel-General Alexander Zhuravlev, commander of the ZVO troops.
The new vehicles are equipped with automated systems to connect to a unified command and control system and will replace outdated modifications. RHM-6 were received as part of the state defense order and provide the transmission of intelligence about the RHB and the meteorological situation in real time with greater efficiency of conducting special intelligence up to 30 percent.
During the solemn ceremony of handing over nine RHM-6, the crews received symbolic keys to armored vehicles and have already started special training classes. The drivers of the cars will work out overcoming obstacles, and the chemical scouts will use a set of surveillance, reconnaissance and special situation monitoring devices.
The RHM-6 has an increased radius of monitoring the situation and the ability to timely notify troops of its change, it includes the latest dosimeters-radiometers, gas detectors, meteorological kits, special processing devices, etc., the press service of the Western Military District reports.
