At the Roshchinsky training ground in the Samara region, the peacekeeping brigade of the Central Military District showed its combat capabilities during large-scale exercises. The training footage was captured on video.
About 500 military personnel took part in the exercises, more than 40 pieces of equipment were involved. According to legend, a car convoy with humanitarian cargo, which was getting to the refugee camp, was attacked by saboteurs. The peacekeepers repelled the attacks and cleared the way for the column. The servicemen used the entire arsenal. In particular, there are shots of anti-aircraft guns on the video. The brigade also used electronic warfare equipment. Unmanned aerial vehicles were also actively used.
By the way, it was on February 1, 2005, that is, exactly 17 years ago, the peacekeeping brigade of the Central Military District was formed in the Samara region. This is the only compound in the Russian Ground Forces for peacekeeping purposes. The brigade is staffed only by contract servicemen.
It is armed with the most modern models of military equipment: armored personnel carriers BTR-82AM, intelligence, control and communication complexes "Sagittarius", the sixth generation radio station "Azart", GLONASS satellite navigators "Perunit-B" and "Grotto-N", drones "Orlan-10", "Leer-3" and "Tachyon-3".
